maybe I'm tripping but I think this is a bit misleading. If you have good results and pass better why would you ever give permission to permanently leave your face associated with a surgeon?
If all of the FFS results I knew where from what they publish I'd be so blackpilled on FFS, but I've seen a lot of results both here and on reddit, where people post and then delete or post in niche communities or threads. I'd do the same and never give permission and be super private about it, especially if it was good.
Idk why hons give permission tho, but they usually don't make the brightet choices anyway lmao (second picrel is a great example)

yeah anonette, but you know that a lot of us have very high standards. Most hons get visible changes if you look at their before and afters, they just don't pass. Which is not enough for a lot of us. And even if we do, we're usually super BDD about it and still have problems and dissatisfaction. I think most late transitioning hons end up pretty happy about their results.

rolfes does good and safe work. the sad reality is that some people can't get there even with ffs. if you are a severe case and you want your surgeon to go aggressive you will have to go outside the US

Yall have eay too high expectations for ffs and need to treat your bdd first. You will never get a good result or the chances you do are slim to none. Ffs is demasculinization, not feminization. It brings you to a more andro or fem leaning state. It will not make you feminine. Any doctor who claims they can do that are risky butchers that may fucking kill you or maim you. If youd rather have a pretty face thats half numb over a andro face with full feeling you have major fucking bdd and need major therapy before getting on the table.

Think about all the botched jobs with people who fucking died or cant feel half their face. Its chance and you really push your luck the more work and more drastic the changes. There is a firm limit to what can be done safely.

This pretty much happened to me. I got FFS very early in transition, and still looked like a dude albeit a much younger one.
he's a decent surgeon if you're a middle-classhit with anthem bcbs insurance. those B/A's are outdated, he will do a revision if you don't like your original results because he is conservative unless you specify what you want. they're better options out there if you're going the insurance route ie:tommy liu.

BCBS is like $400 a month for me if I switch to it during open enrollment. So for a year of it would be about $5000. Still way cheaper than out of pocket FFS but if it's difficult to get them to cover it then idk

I went to Rolfes and I went from permanent unpassing mannish monstrosity to ugly passable woman. I'm pretty satisfied with my results because I had low expectations to begin with. If you want to end up a gigastacy it's probably not gonna happen. I had at least an entire inch of jawbone shaved clean off my jaw and almost an entire inch of brow ridge completely erased. My upper lip was basically alpha male gorilla tier and now it's passably androgynous. I just don't really post pictures of my face.

Neither of these people look like they are on hrt, hair is a huge factor in passing, so is shaving, skincare, ect
Both of these people are very ugly and quite masculine before hand anyone, it can't work miracles. This seems to be a problem with older trans women
Take good care of your skin, grow your hair out, get laser and shave, most of us are young and on hrt so our ffs results will almost definitely be better and probably make us pass/nearly pass
