Remember how Japan had this little thing and they were touring it all around the world to show off how advanced it was? But then they didn't really improve it for many years and in the end it was retired. Now all the world's most advanced robots are not made in Japan. What happened there? They just gave up?

young men got technology (easily accessible jav/hentai/erogames/sexdolls/vidya/escapism media), young women got indoctrinated by feminism and escapism media like kpop/fanfic/soaps/social media, and boomers ignored it as it happened so for the past 20 years its been facing a massive demographic collapse where the retirement pyramid scheme completely falls apart as there are more old retired people than there are young working people providing for them since no one is marrying and making kids. TOTAL. JAPANESE. DEATH., but thats just a first world phenomenon, its starting to happen everywhere in EU and US as well

        >abrupt
The stagnation has been going on since about 1970, and the moral collapse in academia started in earnest around 1990. I am not sure if this really was abrupt, it is possible it is only now that people have started discussing it.

"if you only had kids" is another boomer scam just like pulling yourself by bootstraps and getting job by walking into office.
More kids would improve situation but not much. getting working/retirees ratio that was in the 1960-1970 you need like TFR of 3-4 and this completely unsustainable.
"Eternal grows" to sustain boomers retirement? Fuck off.

You're talking out of your ass. Toyota at least would be the last company to do EVs. They have very limited EV offerings, and they are currently pushing hybrids, they'll more likely go from hybrid to hydrogen than to EVs

not a money maker so they have shifted to making ev cars and batteries.

You think Japan is unique when it comes to groping? Creating female only safe spaces is specifically a a feminist goal. Normal societies just lets men handle it until no one dares groping woman in public like how it happened naturally in the west. The problem is that most Japanese men are too pussy to ever take any action,

didn't the same thing happen to them with chips and other electronics? up till the 90s, I'm pretty sure they made so many of the most advanced electronics. And then, idk, they just stopped innovating, and that stuff got moved to China and South Korea. I think Asimo was made at the tail end of that. I couldn't tell you the reason, but probably is related to how their economy hasn't really grown in 20-30 years

In the 80's the rise of Japanese/Asian goods in US markets caused some good old ameriburger panic about foreign powers producing advanced tech. Political influence at the time convinced burgers that the looming economic recession was caused not by their retarded politicians allowing labor to be exported to Asia, but by Asia itself.

So America engaged in market protectionism and threatened trade policies to starve off Japanese investment in exportable technologies (see TRON) in order to keep the still-blossoming Silicon Valley growing.

Additionally, Japanese culture isn't typically known for being cutting-edge because their society as a whole is very traditional. Taking risks investing in unknown ventures and exploring unproven techniques isn't something they are particularly keen to do.

        >traditional

Japanese culture is very conformist and rigid, and their technology is extremely backwards. When I visited earlier this year, all the faffery I had to do with physical currency made me feel like I was back in 2008 all over again. I haven't paid for shit with cash in nearly a decade. They have all these complicated machines and systems to deal with it - in China, which I also have been to recently, everyone uses contactless payment, everyone. It's not too hard to see why Japan's tech is stagnating and the rest of Asia is flourishing. Europe's tech industry is also doing pretty shit, because of overregulation and a lack of innovation.

        >conformist

The old keiritsu-related companies are traditional. Once upon a time they did new things but things ossified. After WWII a new generation companies like Sony showed that you can think new thoughhts, do new things, and make new products. Dismissing an entire country as traditional and conformist is mistaken.

    World's most elaborate Mechanical Turk.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanical_Turk

The most difficult part of robotics is control.
They had a man off stage who acted as "the robot." The robot would mirror their movements exactly. Effectivly replacing the control systems of the robot, the most difficult part, with a Mechanical Turk.

tl;dr Honda scammed everyone. Even themselves. Never get high on your own supply.

EVs are not money makers either compared to regular cars.

They sit on lots and the only thing that moves them are heavy government incentives

other than the token EV model Toyota is back to focusing on hybrids over pure EVs.

Humanoid robots are worthless because we have an endless supply of brown hominids who reproduce endlessly and can be trained to do simple menial tasks under proper disciplinary/reward measures. Basically, Indians and Africans can do everything and more than the most advanced humanoid robot, but are cheaper than dirt and they self-replicate and fix themselves. They also add to the economy by paying for their upkeep, food, medical bills etc. The future is unironically a form of neo-slavery under a different name.

Blacks and browns are an economic burden. They take far more than they contribute and their presence destroys the society and makes whites and Asians less willing to work hard cause what's the point. If your theory was true Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, India, and parts of South East Asia wouldn't be so shit. Whites and East Asians are the only ones preventing a global dark age.
