I've tried it but it depends if you are religious or not. You might invite demons so be careful.

      Isn't it satanic?

This is a secular thread. Nevermind I'm just gonna get Andrew Huberman's takes on it.

lmfao. Kyle Odom was secular too, how did that work out for him? Read the buddhist texts on upper level meditation. it is literally just conjuration via "self-actualization". I would go ahead and except that meditating is basically begging demons to possess you, if you don't there will be problems down the road if you don't. I

Just sit down and chill out m8, just like let your thoughts flow without focusing on them at all. That's the easiest mediation method I know of, one of less useful ones too but it's good for quick rest

Don't listen to the retards here.
Meditation is just the act of clearing your mind as best you can and letting the flow of thoughts not overtake you. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking it's some supernatural bullshit, it's just a way to enter a calmer state of mind.

      Thoughts fellas?

I always end up taking a nap if I meditate, I just get sleepy. Is this normal?

That depend if you're well rested or not? What technique do you use? Are you laying down instead of sitting upwards?

sit on ground in quiet area, 10 minutes later i'm sleepy.

Well, that's kind of normal when you meditate. Since you're quieting your mind, it takes a lot of stress off your mind. I often end up feeling like i just took a nap since the act kind of gives my brain a good rest.
Maybe try it out when you wake up so that you have enough energy to not fall asleep or try out a different technique. Experiment around.

      >it's just a way to enter a calmer state of mind
Lol, just a way, it is not just a one way, i agree what you have said, but if it is done correctly and for long time a human can unlock some states of being that are unavailable to sober men. Having clear mind is not the same as having no thoughts to be clear about that. I have pretty clear mind, but i still have thoughts and emotions i just don't attach to them so much. Having clear mind is prerequisite for going into deeper meditation where a subject can unlock states of bliss and happiness. After that it goes even further where a subject can go into samadhi states (there are levels of samadhi according to buddhism) and that leads into kundalini awakening that can lead a human into ruin or into saint/wise man. (Nirvana or Nirvikalpa Samadhi). That is the same as surrendering yourself to God or Christ. Catholics think this is satanic but they don't know that many christian, muslim and other saints went through kundalini awakening and states of mind that were the same as those that islamic, buddhist and hindu saints went. It should be noted that it takes different time for anyone. If you have strong desire to be free and if you love God with all your heart it will take no time.

on meditation serb bro? Since you speak serbian here is this. https://www.ivantic.info/index.htm. This is your countryman, there are many books here but search for the books about meditation only. You dont need to concern yourself with other themes if you dont want to. Bhagavad gita is cool, Yoga sutras of Pantanjali, and New Testament is cool too. I never focused on one religion or philosophy but all of them contain really valuable insights.

Maybe for samadhi, vipassana is about impartiality and insight into reality. There is no jhana or deep states of absorbtion involved.

Meditation is for homosexuals. Towards that ends its great if you're married. When i want 15-30 mins of silence out of my wife i tell her " we should meditate together." She thinks we're "connecting" and i get a moment of piece and quiet. Win-win

They wont like you to know this but you can disconnect from your body and astrally project whereever you want. I found its easiest to do it in bed but thats just probably because im most relaxed there. I think you can do it wherever if you're skilled. There is some declassified cia paper on this.

Anyway, dont freak out when you hear a crack inside your head, feel a surge up your spine or feel like you're vibrating if you're standing still. But dont do anything stupid like invoking demons or shit like that, we are seperated from them for a reason. As far as the normiesphere is concerned they dont exist and thats all well and good, they dont really pose a threat if you dont believe.

Some believe it bestows on the meditator magical powers.

When you find yourself in stressful situations, prior meditation practice shows its true power.
Meditation is just being still with the present moment as it is, that's all. It is admittedly hard to sit still and do nothing, to let go of thoughts and just sit with your breath. But this is a mental muscle you are training, and you are getting it to be less grasping and more open.
When you next find yourself in a loud room full of people getting nervous and loud and stupid, your meditation practice allows you to let go of all that noise too, and just be present in the moment. Being aware when others are stupid can look like having magic powers.
You can be just as awake to the moment sitting on a cushion doing a guided meditation as you can enjoying a beer with a friend. You're never NOT meditating, once you realize what is going on here in this lightshow illusion we call reality.

satanic Eastern mysticism bullshit, you clear your mind and other things will come knocking, it's not a good feeling to experience the pure fear that comes from demonic entities- and trying to call out for God for help but it feels like you're in the fight of your life to do so, because you are.

Meditation is for whites. Whites only know about materialism and external things. Stop the cultural appropriation.
