They have the ability to create verbose abstractions on any particular topic, but they use it only to rationalize why they believe exactly what they are told. Wise move, but although I am critical of LULZ, and particularly of LULZ I have two reasons for continuing to visit.
1) As I said before, for exposure to ( rational ) outliers. Rarely, but it does happen. Unless you have specialized in a particular field its very unlikely you would encounter them otherwise. People with extremely unorthodox, yet rational, opinions and viewpoints, who otherwise fly completely under the radar. When someone gets called a crank or is vilified for their ideas I am always interested in what they have to say. I can make my own mind up after I have heard or read what they have to say.
2) The stark uncensored honesty, even at its worse, is sometimes a refreshing change from the claustrophobic correctness of other forums.
I think the trick is to scan this place quickly, occasionally, but not to linger, and certainly not to enter into "debate" with contrarians who seek attention rather than understanding.

Frankly, I am intrigued. Obviously, my IQ isn't 149; going 12 points lower is much closer to the truth. This tool mostly estimates richness of expression, complexity of sentence structure, eccentricity/distance from the 100 'IQ' norm.
