Question to older anons, how do you cope with aging?

I’m 25 and struggling to come to terms with it, seeing changes in my skin, imagining what I will look like when I’m older.

Accept the fact. You will be dead someday. Live now in the present

42 here. Been using this site since 2005. It all happens so gradually that its just one of those things. 10 years from now you'll look older but you wont really notice it, because the change has been gradual. Overall, once the joy of working and paying bills and driving in traffic etc, relationships and people dying, life in general, once that becomes more trouble than its worth you wont really care so much. at some point when your body starts to slow and break and get sick, you may even welcome death. Many have done just that.

I would say its important to "seize the day" so you have as few regrets as possible. Those eat people alive.

35 here. If this is just about your looks you need some older role models. Men can age in style, just ook at older, well-groomed gentlemen like Sean Connery or whoever else crosses your mind.
Personally, my goal is to don a long beard and basically do a fulltime Gandalf cosplay once I am old enough.
This anon here is also right, good wisdom.

Watch as your life begins to fade
    (You will grow up)
    Pretending you are not afraid
    (That's not enough)

    Mid 40s here.

As you get older, you start defining yourself more by your accomplishments rather than your looks. Your looks will deteriorate eventually. It’s inevitable. Just do something worthwhile with your life so that you can still love yourself even after your appearance changes.

Reminiscing. When you're past a certain age, you know your greatest time is gone. Never to return. All that remains is looking back on your years when all you did was party and get laid. Ah, the nostalgia...

Grow your hair or beard and after a while cut or shave it up, test yourself.

    And anjoy the seasons.

Take care of yourself. In my 30s I started going to the gym and watching what I eat because I was gaining weight and getting out of shape. It was no longer possible to live the carefree eat-anything do-nothing life and stay goodlooking. On the other hand I am now aging very well as a result and look very good and young compared to average people my age.

That was a nice time wasn't it? I ate all the junkfood I wanted, drank lots of beer and my weight stayed the same without lifting a finger. Now in my mid thirties I really have to work for it

Ignorance is bliss and all that, but looking back I feel slightly disgusted by myself for treating my body so poorly.

That's simple, Anon. I believe in taking care of myself, in a balanced diet, and a rigorous exercise routine.
In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an icepack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now.
After I remove the icepack, I use a deep-pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey-almond bodyscrub, and on the face, an exfoliating gel-scrub.
Then I apply an herb mint facial masque, which I leave on for ten minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine.
I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

It's a serious issue for women, but many, dare I say most men continue to get more attractive well into middle-age, especially if they put in some basic self-care. Just look at how much easier it is for men in their thirties to date online than younger dudes.
I for one can't wait for the grey hairs to come in, I'd love to look like James Hoffmann

It's a bonus for us, because we do all the hard work and keep the world turning. Enjoy your years, you sneaky old man 😀
