posting here as well to increase chances of finding a coat before I freeze

I am currently in paris and looking to upgrade my coat, what shops or brands would /fashion/ suggest for finding a slim, dark grey manteau, or topcoat? trying to keep in the 200-300 euro budget and still have it be full wool, if possible.

a lot of anons mix up slim jeans (straight jeans cut slimmer) and skinny jeans (taper below knee) just to make sure you’re not first:
slim jeans is the compromise, its a vague nebulous marketing term so just keep trying different brands until something works well then measure it and shop similar measurements in the future.

Can someone redpill me on Ralph Lauren Purple Label? They seem to be the same quality just without the branding but for some reason they ask 500 dollars for a cotton shirt instead of 100-200 like regular PLR

skinny has always meant tapered, slim has always been slim through the entire leg with no taper. some low end brands will mis-use the terminology. stop wearing southpole and costco jeans peasant.

Any recommendations on good brands for a leather duffel bag? I’m looking for something on the smaller side that I could use as a carry-on for 2-3 day work trips. Full grain leather, maybe one external pocket. I care more about good quality than anything else, though.

Cheap and decent-looking but also kind of mediocre quality. Somehow still not worth the money.
For example: I got a wool sweater there and it started pilling after like three wears. And my girlfriend got me an overcoat there, but it’s this weird combination of way too hot when it’s warmer out then not warm enough when it’s colder. I think it just doesn’t breathe well (polyester will do that). It looks good enough, but I can only really use it in a narrow temperature band.

I like warm clothing in the winter and have wanted a shearling jacket like this ever since I saw a gigachad in town wearing it.

But how can I style it? I only ever see playboy looking chads wear it and always in a very casual style such as with a sweater and jeans. My style is more business casual or more formal and I wear tortoise glasses.

I think it’s either playboy style or full cowboy with those. I guess you’ll have to find one in a store to try on with your usual style and see if it clashes.

I get blue and white dress shirts there. It’s in Japan, so the fit is not the greatest, but no where else is either, unless I want to go to Paul Smith or Boss. Not for hecking work, I don’t.

Good for plain t-shirts too. The air or something t-shirts are cheap enough I keep a stash of new one’s for travel or whatever.

Am I supposed to ask a hebreweler or something?

I don’t understand the problem, if it’s too small you bend it, if it’s too big you bend it, & it’s not going to be perfect b/c it’s a hecking adjustable ring, they should have just guessed your ring size and kept a receipt

What do you call this kind of top for a female. Where its very form fitting and like half-zip / sometimes full zip. I’ve seen them scoop next or with a small collar. On the shorter end usually crop top. For females of course. Looks best with a ribbed texture.

is the reason why pants always seem to be too wide at the waist bc of manufacturing limitations and not racism or sexism or whatever normalfags come up with? its hard to sew a garment that is narrow then wide then into two narrow tubes, ie the human shape is complex and hard to recreate out of textiles. especially when you consider that you have to put on the garment, ie even if you do make a narrow opening, you still have to put the widest part of your body through the narrow opening into the wider part. combine this with the fact that spandex wasnt invented until 1959 so the material didnt have stretch for a long long time, so youre pretty much forced to make a larger waist to accommodate the large human posterior. i believe this is also why historical societies generally chose trousers for men and skirts for women. makes more sense for the more hank hill shaped sex to wear pants and the pear shaped one to just drape fabric over the waist

Can someone please recommend me an equivalent to the Doc Marten Quad 1461/8053. I know there are heaps out there but I’m specifically looking for ones with the platform sole. I missed out on a sale of them in my size, but I honestly was holding off because Docs are hecking garbage now, and the ones I bought a year or so ago are already destroyed and have a hecking HOLE in them and the shitty plastic coating is peeling off. I got recommended Solovair but I couldn’t find any styles with the platform soles. Another friend told me to just get New Rocks but I don’t wanna look like a goth stupid. I don’t hate them but they’re just not for me.

Seriously somebody hook me up. I’m struggling. These shoes are garbage but I cannot bring myself to give up the style because they suit EVERYTHING in my wardrobe. Literally everything. But I don’t want to wear these trashed shoes anymore, and I wanna invest in better quality.
