I'm not sure which pile of shit is yours and I dont care. You dont need to park either one of those cars away from others.

Yes I do need park my car away from others so the others stupid family kids dont open car door too much, hitting my car. Alternatively some newbie moron reverse and turn with their car accidentally hitting my car.

well that's what happens to cars in parking lots. You knew that didn't you?

Yes I know and thats the reason why I have been parking my present car away from others for few years now. My previous car was hit by other car at parking lot and that collision left a minor dent, never found who did it.

    Some people like order.
10 cars spread out across a 100 capacity car park is chaos, 10 cars lined up next to each other and 90% of a car park free and open is order, some people naturally gravitate towards the latter.

I get pissed when people do this. Especially if I park super far away and they are driving some shitbox. Just why? I don't mind if it's a nice car because people with nice things usually respect other nice things. It's the fatass c**t in the 2010 crv that makes me seethe

When I drove a Buick Regal to work I always parked far away, but an older Saab hatchback would be right beside me every time I left. I never got to meet the owner, but it was a cool car to see every day I left.

an old Volvo (80s? 90s?) parks by my audi a4 b6 at work too. it's kind of cute bc we're both older but still stylish cars.

to be fair it is an empty lot. At least just leave a single space between when you can. It's like choosing to take the center urinal while some one is using one of the sides.

Whenever I see another BMW I park my BMW next to it.
I must be with my tribe.
In the refined and sophisticated tribe of the BMW chads, door dings are non-existent because in order to ding someone else, would mean damaging your BMW in the process.
The BMW chads are a high trust tribe and we have nice things that we strive to preserve.

This why I will always park my European car with other European cars.

A lot of shitty drivers can't park straight without having a car for reference next to them. Checking the lines in their mirrors is beyond them.

  12. 1 year ago

Why is your car park carpeted?

  13. 1 year ago
    Anonymous

It's because normies, especially in high riding crossovers, can't easily see the lines as they're parking and want another car to help them line up.
What I do to prevent door dings is try to park in between cars oriented so their drivers' doors both open away from my car and won't give me door dings. Like picrel.

I've thought about this, but consider the following: drivers doors are opened by the driver, who usually care at least somewhat about their own vehicle. Passenger doors are operated by friends and children who don't care and are moronic. My own friends have opened my passenger door into other cars whereas I would never do such a thing with the driver's door. And if there's a child involved, forget about it, he's going to smash your car as hard as he can on purpose

        Anonymous

Good points. It's what I do at work, where everyone drives only themself and the garage fills up. At stores where children will be, I try to find spots far away or get creative parking at the end of a row.

I've never had my door dinged before. I don't think it's common enough to worry

I have dinged someone's ride tho. It was during a major storm with 90 mph winds and as soon as I open to get out my door almost blew off its hinges. Shitload of hail too. Not a good day, but a good cover excuse to blame it on hail

My wife does this, and I assume everyone does as well for the same reason: they can't park straight, so they use the car next to them to line up. Park a bit crooked next time and I'll bet the car next to you will be just as crooked.

I purposely parked my car to close to a lifted diesel larper today. He left it idling while he was in the liquor store. I was pretty sure he had to climb in the passenger side to drive away. I only do this because I honestly don't care what happens to my shit box

    >NPCs still insist on parking next to me
They reduce their chance of door dings that way. You're nicely parked, so by parking next to your properly parked car, they have eliminated 50% of the chances a door dinger will park next to them.
