I think at this point Russia would love to just grind it out. That's why they built all of those defensive works.
Ukraine is in the worst postion, because they are the grist for that grinding mill, and they are likely to lose that kind of war.
Ukraine is completely fucked unless they BTFO the Russians quickly, not just in a worse position. For a couple of reasons:
1) They can't afford to lose many more people and the longer this goes on, the more people they'll lose.
2) They depend 100% on USA funding their government, at some point USA might backstab them and once they do it's over.
So they need to win before they run out of people or USA backstabs them. Both will happen eventually and I wouldn't put my money on "Russia has 2 weeks until total economic collapse" happening before it.
