This is not the first mass extinction, all things run their course. The Devonian was likely largely caused by the success of plant life. This time around it will be the success of humans, or the industrial capital super-organism. Human civilization as its existed for the last six thousand years is certainly about to change, but as a "gender variant" person I feel no real alliance to humanity.
