Her most ambitious album. Also her best. Also the one that cements her status as the only female musician to ever have an ounce of creativity.

That'd be Dorothy Fields, but /mu hates musical theatre as a genre and doesn't know what its missing.

The Sensual World sounds unbearably dated. It has that late 80s sound which plagued pop music from that time. But then it also features some of her greatest songwriting (title track, Rocket's Tail, The Fog).

HoL is also dated production-wise but a little less so than TSW. The songwriting is also overall better on HoL and there are no adult contemporary moments like on TSW. My vote goes for HoL.

Both albums would be worse if they weren't dated. They work because they are a product of their times.

Yeah I get fed up when people obsess over whether things are timeless or not. It's nice to listen to/watch something and be transported to a very specific time and place.

I don't think "sounding dated" is necessarily a bad thing at all. Often it helps give music and eras their character.

welcome to the internet, Kate Bush has a good discography but there's nothing wrong with arguing about what your favorite is

Aerial has her best song and is the only thing that rivals HoL followed closely by The Dreaming
