very true that you can do that, but you have to be ready to spend money to get to a point where you succeed in replacing it. most people just cannot imagine having a chance to destroy anything over $100 with their own hands
Funny because the 7000 series AMD cards run hot as fuck and draw a metric fuckton of power.
AMD even admitted they could have made a card that would match the 4090 but it would have drawn way too much power.

Why do Nvidiots lie like this when it's so easy to disprove? RDNA 3 is barely less efficient than Ada, despite being on an inferior node. It's also funny that said Nvidiots are all hyping up efficiency again, having been silent about it for the past couple of years because Ampere cards were actual housefires due to Samsung's shitty faux-8nm.
I'm going to buy a rtx 4070 and keep it for a long time
Am I better off with a founders edition card or some other manufacturer if I want to avoid it dying?
If all you care about is longevity you should look for Asus TUF, they overbuild the cards with huge radiators. Check reviews for coil whines, one 40 series from Asus has coil whine reports.

You know, you can replace RAM on GPU easily with common hand tools and intermediate soldering skills.
Show vid of you doing it then
Here is a video of me doing something else intermediate

FE, no question really
Wait for the 5070. After the backlash this gen they have no choice but to go back to using a 256bit bus and proper gains on the previous gen.
picrel still going, tortured with years of mining, gaming and still werks

>1080 ti dies 59 months into 5 year warranty
>MFW get free 3080 12GB because it was the lowest model with least 11 gb VRAM
