Damageplan was so bad they make pantera look like crowbar and Dimestore Darren getting blasted was the best thing that could have happened to him in terms of legacy because his shitty quasi-nu metal project got immediately memory holed.

Dunno, but it's had the same effect for me too, and I used to hate them because of Walk. My eyes were really opened to albums like Great Southern Trendkill and how melodic they could actually be at times.

They were the ultimate angry nerd band. Plus they were very liberal. Party hard, smoke a spliff, play music, be angry, then chill.
They liked to wave their southern flag, play loud music in their car and get tattoos before tattoos were for teenage women. They just had a good hard laugh at life when they peaked, and then life got the better of them and everybody started backpedalling about everything really. Suddenly the weed turned out to be heroin and that flag wasn't very innocent either.
It needs to be stated that people who are liberal now are not all the same people who would have been liberal in the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc. Looking back, you could probably call most rock guys liberal, but what that means has shifted in the modern day as the liberal agenda has become this extremist anti white anti hetero movement

Power Metal is a good album, and sounds like a Priest cover band. The Terry Glaze era was shit.
