By the way we should appreciate the amazing voice & guitar riffs of Kim. She was a legend while recording songs, sadly actually she isn't kool anymore.

I don’t really care for it, some of it is decent. I’d pretty much rather hear any of their 80s albums or dirty than this one. Great cover though.

      Source of pic?

I agree. I always thought Goo was one of their weaker ones. It's their major label debut but it's not nearly as good as what came before or after. I guess some catchy songs and "mote" is a fucking banger in particular but not one of my faves of theirs

I've listened to it front to back like 4 times and can barely recall any details about it. I gave up on it doing anything for me long ago, my time's better spent to literally any other album of theirs.

Extremely Velvet Underground Inspired, verifiable proof that The VU had one of the strongest legacies out of any Acid Rock Band. Literally just Velevt Underground rehash.

the album where SY found the perfect balance between "catchy" music and their signature branca-style noise rock.
It's inferior to Daydream Nation and Sister but in my opinion better than Evol and all subsequent albums (starting with Dirty)

Both the catchy 60s pop type parts and the nosie Rock arr directly inspired by The Velvet Underground. The sooner everyone on here admits that 90% of the shit you credit to Trout Mask Replica or any other Sporky Zappa Kino is actually VU inspired the better.

        it's more of a second-hand (maybe even third-hand) influence
        > TVU are pivotal in expanding the horizions of garage rock
        > that was certainly an influence for the pioneers of punk
        > branca's experiments were certainly inspired by punk rock
        > SY develop a new kind of rock song based on branca's music (Lee Ranaldo actually worked with Branca)

Sure but it mirrors it almost directly, proving they were actually heavily influential. I also highly doubt it. They pretty obviously modeled their image on them aswell.
