powerplants (sometimes) need an outside source of power to start their generators back up.
there needs to be some outside source of power to energise the field coils in the generators.
typically, theres a backup like a large diesel generator or large as fuck batteries....but this is soviet tech that hohols probably scrapped decades ago.
i truly don't wish harm on any russians, but i am okay with turning most of ukraine into radioactive slag, if nothing more than to end this silliness and provide a buffer zone for russian defense.

They have Diesel generators for that on location. Also, only one part of the plant is still online, the rest has been shut down. This happened every other day a few months ago btw
