Old IBM

Some guy in Finland is selling a warehouse full of old IBM PC's for 3000 euros + transport costs.

Do you think it's worth it? I'm kind of interested. The lot includes
>19 x IBM PS/2 "pizza box" desktop PC
>2 x IBM "tower" desktop PC
>3 x IBM PS/1 "pizza box" desktop PC
>1 x IBM portable PC
>23 x IBM monitor
>25 x IBM keyboard + 15 x IBM mouse

The problem with the lot is that I'm looking at entire years of selling them one by one. Only an absolute lunatic would buy an entire lot (me).

Not unless you're going to do an insane retro home network for the price of a single high end modern PC

Depending on the particular models and condition you could probably make your money back just selling the keyboards, then the rest would be profit.

All these posts contradict each other.

Also, there's no telling if 3k is the final price. He might take 2500 just to get rid of them.

Those keyboards are worth $200-$250 usd each in good condition in the usa, no idea what they are worth in Fingolia.

Do you think the keyboard is even more desireable than the actual PC + monitor combo?

        >no idea what they are worth in Fingolia.
10 euros. Nobody collects or wants them here, and I was thinking I'd get them for cheap here and sell them to Americans through eBay. Shipping is expensive tho so I'd have to sell them for cheap to compete with your domestic sellers.

You sure about that? I can believe that for the crusty rubber dome variants, but buckling spring variants should be still desirable. Price of Model M appears to be around 80-120€ looking at postings on bbs.io-tech

    >sell all the keyboards
    >you're left with 30 monitors and central units in the middle of your living room
    >someone contacts you and wants the full set with keyboard and mouse
    >"sorry bro I sold them"
