As Catholics we actually still hold respect for such things.

Good riddance. He should have smashed it to pieces. Germs did the same thing to European treasures from other countries:
            >The Polish coronation insignia was transported to Berlin, where it became part of the Hohenzollern treasury. A few years later, after losing the war with the Emperor Napoleon I, the bankrupt Prussian king Frederick William III ordered the order of March 17, 1809 to break up and melt down the Polish royal regalia. In 1811, their commission destruction was carried out in Königsberg
Why should anyone respect German treasures if they don't expect those of their neighbors?

Why would we destroy a crown that had nothing to do with the Prussians? While we hate the Brandenburgians/Prussians we still like the Saxons, Bavarians, Austrians, & Franconians. Ironic since the East Germans are Germanized Slavs.

The Bambrzy in Poznań are one such example of Poles with mixed German decent. Dąbrowski For example was half German.

It's been a state longer than Germany and Russia (maybe even combined). Russia was was made up in the 17th century. Germany was in HRE for the entire medieval period, while there was a Christian Polish Kingdom since 966

Rus isn't Russia moron. And even if so, Poland was around then. Kiev Rus isn't Russia either. Ukraine, Belorus, Russia all trace back to Kiev Rus, but all of those states only became a thing much later.
Germanic tribes =/= proper German state
Kingdom of Germany was formed roughly around the time when Poland became a proper state. And then they were absorbed into HRE for remainder of medieval period while Poland remained a its own state until 15th century, when they merged with Lithuania until 18th century.

Great Moravia isn't Polish. Poland became a proper state when a local warlord, Mieszko I, united Slavic tribes in the area, around 10th century.

Polish state actually existed before 10th century, but we don't know much about it, since they weren't christian. All info about that time period comes from one chronicle. Properly Poland became Poland in 966 with christianization. But even before Mieszko I his predecessors were uniting tribes of Polans, Goplans, Mazovians etc.
Rurik's state has nothing to do with modern Russia, especially since it had a bit of Scandinavian character. Russia can trace itself back to Russian Empire which came much much later.
Germany wasn't Kingdom of Germany for long. It was absorbed into multicultural Holy Roman Empire.

            >Rurik's state has nothing to do with modern Russia,
            >But the current Republic of Poland which was created by Soviet Marshal is totally related to original tribes-leader
Jesus Christ your mental gymnastics is hillarious. Do you realise German tribes also had leaders who were uniting them long before the entire word of "slav" has been mentioned in roman and germanic books?

            Anonymous

966 still is close to when Kingdom of Germany was formed. But like I said, pre Mieszko I days are only described in one chronicle. Germany had the advantage of being closer to christian civilization, therefore they had access to chronicles and writing much earlier, so we know much more about Germany in 8th century than we do about 8th century Poland.

Germany wasnt IN the HRE, it basically WAS the HRE. the constitution allowed only germans to be elected emperor (thats why Ottokar rebelled against the election of the Rudolf I.) and all the electors were germans also.

Main rulers might have been Germans (although they were mutts for sure later on like every dynasty), but HRE nobles were mixed culturally. It wasn't a German empire.

            >HRE nobles were mixed culturally.
absolute bullshit. you had some italian counts and dukes in italy, but even they descended from frankish (=germanic) nobility. western nobility got frenchified culturally but they were still considered german, otherwise a luxemburgian couldnt have become emperor.
the only exception was the early czech nobility of bohemia, but even they got outbred by germans and in the end, most of their nobility was of german descent.

            >It wasn't a German empire.
absolute p*lack cope. thats why it was founded by germans, ruled by germans and was named Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, right?
