    Make a userChrome.css, userContent.css, and user.js file.
Fill them with hundreds of lines of code to make Firefox usable.

Do some basic setup in Settings - e.g. disable telemetry.
      Install uBlock Origin.
There are at least two important options in about:config I recommend to enable:
      >browser.quitShortcut.disabled
Set to true in order to disable accidental browser exit by pressing Ctrl+Q (it's too near Ctrl+W).
      >toolkit.tabbox.switchByScrolling
Set to true in order to enable switching tabs using mousewheel (emulates Chrome behavior).
You can further customize the browser using advanced settings but that's for experienced users
You can e.g. make tabs narrower in order to squeeze them more into screen - again, in order to resemble Chrome more.

use it to download ungoogled chromium then uninstall it

      >ungoogled chromium
      Pure autism.

At least you CAN make it usable. With israelitegle Chrome you're fucked.
Firefox is still highly customizable, even though the customization options are hidden at first sight.

Web was never meant for what it is today.
Web was originally meant to look like pic related - just a formatted text interconnected by hyperlinks, with an occasional image or table.

kek. why's everyone hating on firefox. i don't get it. i've been using it for 10 years at least. it's fast, it doesn't look like chrome. earlier builds looked prettier imo. but overall. it's a good browser. don't let google ram things down your throat like a literal npc.

Most importantly, it's the only browser opposing Google's hegemony.
Everything else is just a Chrome clone.

        Latest bug fixes and bugs.
Also, historically Firefox on Linux has only really worked if you used Nightly because there's so many bugs.

It's better nowadays though. The Wayland support is mature, there's hardware video decoding acceleration, screen capture works, smooth scrolling works, etc.
