Their song Vomit is good, I don’t know any other. Worth exploring?
fuck man
god these guys have aged poorly
RIP to that one guy though, seems like a sad tale
What happened
he died. im guessing probably drugs because nobody mentions cause of death
I thought I imagined this album. Is this the one that sparked off all those Bay Area garage bands?
Yes it is I recognize Hunx in the video now. Wow anon, I know you spammed this a day or so ago but the album cover finally made it click.
>this is my personal blog
That scene made me realize that rock was over. Not that it was bad, just because it was too referential. It was my link to early millennials though
>Is this the one that sparked off all those Bay Area garage bands?
Thee Oh Sees tho.
Oh shit.
Now people aren’t allowed to not put fucken reverb and distorsion on all the vocals ever
This + Laura were the best two opening tracks of any album of that era. Just two back to back perfect songs. The rest of the album was kind of just OK unfortunately.
Hard disagree. Love the lofi clatter of God Damned, Lauren Marie is a perfect twilight lounge tune from the bizarro world and Hellhole Ratrace is the absolute apex up the album. Not to mention the scuzzy energy on Big Bad Mean Motherfucker and Morning Light. Honestly, this record is like a modern Pet Sounds to me, not in sound but in emotional arc and sun-soaked vibes.
I cover Laura in a band I'm in. I miss this era of indie honestly
how is Christopher Owens doing anyway?
ah, so still into heroin
Is he still living in his car? Pretty sure that's how the dude from Lync died.
RIP sam jayne
played a show with love as laughter once
very short cheerful guy in a straw hat.
LAURA, BABY, I'M RIGHT HERE
AND I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT ANYMORE
Peak album from the surf indie era.
The production is crystalline, absolute great drum sound.
What the hell, their hole discography is great.
Flash in the pan Masterpiece LP.
