Odin came to me in a dream last night

In my dream he showed me the depths of the ocean where a great beast laid dormant. But the beast was waking up and Odin wanted me to know this.
Then he took me to a small village somewhere, I believe it was in the mountains but I didn't recognize the place. All the houses were abandoned but he led me to one in particular where, from the window, a hand emerged and waved for me to enter. I never entered it.

Finally I asked Odin about Christ. I consider myself a Christian but I've struggled with my faith for years now. I asked him if I was right to pray to Jesus. He just looked out into the distance and answered
>Pray to him or pray not, it will not matter.
This is the main reason I'm making this thread. That answer made me wake up and has been bothering me all day.

Anyone else who have seen Odin in their dreams?

Surprisingly in character. Norse culture and belief were fatalistic.

The beast has already awoken in our time. Odin was showing you this beyond time, pray or ray not it has already happened.

When I was demonically possessed, all forms of Christian prayer were useless. Prayed to Mary: nothing. Prayed to St. Michael: nothing. Prayed to God: a voice who wasn't God started harassing me whilst pretending to be God. What did work was food. Food made the voices go away.

I'll make sure to have some snickers in the house for bedtime.

    Jormungandr awakes, Ragnarok is nigh.

Fenrir (?) need not be taken so literally as a "wolf", so I'm not all too into the actual Revelations lore but the "beast" sounds awfully analagous to the same character there.

Odin is all about averting (or more accurately not averting) fate. I believe it's a later Christianisation, but though all his meticulous planning, training, gathering warriors etc, Ragnarok can't be stopped, this allows Ask and Embla to arise anew from the ashes of destruction.

Od is translated as akin to something like fury or ecstacy, but I will is also a forgotten translation. Maybe you're getting a heads up, to get your shit in order and exert your will, maybe to survive the coming destruction, more likely to "perish" but in doing so win a meaningful small victory

i fricking wish i'd see a god talk to me so clearly and plainly without cryptic nonsense, i dreamt the other day that there are multiple universes inside universes inside universes and my point of view kept ascending and the higher up i went from where i was the more universes revealed themselves, and each universe had borders in the shapes similar to hexagons and there were names written on each one, im guessing the respective title of each universe contained within each hexagon, and the inside of the hexagon was white with black writing on top, it was like looking at google maps and that became clearer the more you zoomed in to that respective universe and les detailed the more you zoomed out with huge titles on top and a white background, for some reason i knew it was a map of the universes

I've had at least two encounters. One of which was in a dream and we were sharing a bottle of red wine in silence. But his presence informed me I needed to maintain strength and vigilance. The difficulties are not over yet.

The second took place after I offered him some mead. Crows (I know it's traditionally ravens but I don't see why he wouldn't use both as they symbolically occupy a similar niche) gathered close to my window, cawing and shrieking in a great cacophony; a voice ordering me to "Wake up." When I told my girlfriend about this dream I was shocked when she told me she could hear the birds outside too and unusually they must have gathered close to the window for that sole purpose.

    The rapture already happened brother.

I think I had Woden talk to me on mushrooms, I closed my eyes and I could see the branches of a tree, not him. I heard someone tell me "This world is a prison", they didn't elaborate.

You should be happy if you enter the prison (you will be released after). The sad part is that everyone's yet to enter the prison (their spirit/fragment of their soul is still lost).

He's showed up in my dreams a few times. Sometimes drives a Rolls Royce. Never seen him directly but sometimes in reflections but more often I hear the ravens.

      >The figure of Gandalf is based on the Norse deity Odin in his incarnation as "The Wanderer", an old man with one eye, a long white beard, a wide brimmed hat, and a staff. Tolkien wrote in a 1946 letter that he thought of Gandalf as an "Odinic wanderer".

    >But the beast was waking up
Maybe it is the midgard serpant or something else?
    >And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.
I suspect that a nuclear war is a possibility, and it will be the death of Baldur. The death of spring and light in a nuclear winter. Look, friend. No matter how you view it, it is pretty clear that the 5th human epoch will soon come to it's end with Ragnarök.
And about praying to Christ; Well, it will happen one way or another but if it comforts you. Perhaps divine intervention is one thing that could safe you until the return of Baldur on the eight-legged Horse Sleipnir after everything in existence has wept for him.

Odin here. None of this is true. I’m retired. I don’t appear in any of your dreams loser.

I'd say Odin represented "the self" (wise old man) within you, showing you the depths of an ocean (your unconscious) where a monster is about to awaken. Was the monster feminine?
