And all OS use dynamic linking even though it's been proven to take more memory, run slower, and produce larger updates. Even the people at Sun who invented it said, "It's a shit idea but our dumbass techbro customers demanded it. We're in business to make money so here's the hot garbage you ordered, retards." Just because it's widespread doesn't mean it's a good idea. Appealing to the majority makes no sense when the majority is known to be fucking stupid.

          Anonymous

Nah, someone reinvented static linking by packing all libraries and executables into a giant piece of shit that you have to download containing redundant data and conflicts with external stuff that the application relies on.

I didn't know this was improved later on:

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatpak

Flatpak runs in a sandbox (which provides a separate, ABI-stable version of all common system libraries), and that means that it will always use more space on the system than common native packages. However, this is not a concern as Flatpak uses OSTree as its backend which can deduplicate matching files. This means that the first install of a Flatpak application will always take up more space at first, but will be more efficient as the user installs more Flatpak packages.

But, besides that, contributions to technology are a two-sided coin. On one hand, it demonstrates the superior intelligence of the inventor, and an accomplishment for his people and nation, on the other, it continues the progress of technology, which worsens the physical and social wellbeing of humanity.

          Anonymous

          >it continues the progress of technology, which worsens the physical and social wellbeing of humanity.
It doesn't have to. For the most part until now it has improved peoples lives. Though social media is destroying it. And soon AI will ruin everything - even humanity itself.

            Anonymous

            >It doesn't have to
I would disagree. The modern technological and industrial society has created a sort of system, at least within urban areas, wherein people can never feel satisfied or fulfilled in their lives.

To clarify; Humans have the natural need to, by their own, autonomous effort, attain food, shelter and other basic needs. In modern, industrial, technological, urban areas there is no possibility to do such a thing. People attain food and water and shelter through minimal effort, by just going to the store, and the money they earn to buy these necessities is very often not attained through any physical work, but rather through some menial activity, and at that, one that is based around following orders, and not done by one's own, autonomous will.

              Anonymous

To expand upon this: In modern urban society we see a sort of perversion, that is, the exact opposite of natural human living conditions. Humans have for almost all of their existence lived in a large family unit that exists within a small tribe. Now, in big cities especially, people live in a small family unit contained within an extremely, incomprehensibly large city. Thus, no one knows eachother. And to add onto that, besides only existing in a tiny family, people are then expected to even go out and get their own house and live separately, when, in natural conditions, the whole family lives together for life.

Alright, let's take a look at these claims:

    >Norway invented OOP
    Alright, good on them.

    >Denmark created C++
Since you like pointing out how stuff is based off of other stuff, then you must know that C++ is based off of C, which was invented by an American, Dennis Ritchie.

    >Finland created the Linux Kernel
Linux is based off of Unix, which was made by Bell Systems (known today as AT&T) in 1969. Also the Kernel for Mac/iPhone is not based off the Linux Kernel, it is based off of Unix. Microsoft's Kernel is also based off of Unix, not Linux.

    >Sweden created Spotify and...other stuff
Well, that just kinda sputtered out at the end there. Would have figured you could bring up a couple more of those, as you attempted to misconstrue other historical facts to support your narrative, but are relying on people have no idea how to even look into any of that.
