>Nooo, a Chromebook is basically a worse version of a phone.
What phone has a screen this big that can sit on your lap and pull up a spreadsheet once in a while?

what the fuck why is it so filthy
I have a dusty apartment
99% of laptop users are dirty pigs for some reason.
Not more than PC only users, literal homebound incels.
good luck throwing that dusty crumb filled shit into e-waste
why are you so homosexual? Also I've had it for a few years. I don't see a need to dust it in its current state
Ask your doctor about ketoconazole shampoo
So clear that you don't use the thing, the keyboard is accumulating dust. People who use computers for real work don't use chromebooks
I like mine too, but only as a second computer. And yes, you are right, I definitely think it is better than having a phone.

not an excuse see
I'm not OP. And mine is somewhat fine. I definitely get it dirty (I even do woodworking near it), but I occasionally clean it with a toothbrush. And sometimes I even put it under the sink (fuck yeah, spill proof keyboard).
ChromeOS is great for a number of reasons
1) chromebooks are relatively inexpensive
2) you get a full fledged browser
3) you get a linux VM and linux apps
4) you get android apps
5) mobile OS so good battery life
6) mobile OS so quick boot
7) you can literally powerwash and restored from the cloud in no time
If they ever start coming with dedicated graphics it could be over for Windows.
or you could just get a thinkpad for the same price? chromebooks are okay but there's literally no reason to pick a less performing machine when the prices are the same
Their battery life is ridiculously better, and they weight ridiculously less. Otherwise, you are right. I have both a chromebook and a t480. The t480 beats it in all aspects.
for the two reasons you mentioned i have a 2011 macbook air with linux on it, battery lasts insanely long, weighs almost nothing, better display and design than any existing chromebook, 60 bucks from an online auction. my thinkpads btfo it massively but it's so much lighter and thinner, very convenient in certain usecases.
>no numpad
trash it
