No Smartphones in dreams

How come every piece of modern technology appears in our dreams except for smartphones? Are our own minds protecting us from something?

What are u talking about? I am pretty sure people dream of that too sometimes like myself.

For instance, I had dreams where I would write a message to my dealer or call him.

I think phones are more of a frame in our minds than they are solid objects. What I’m trying to say is that I will dream about things I’ve seen or read about on my phone because the phone itself is just a box, what matters is the content on the screen.

Let's test that. Hands up if a modern circular knitting machine appears in your dreams.

On a USB key sized sequencer. Larger ones could grow, incubate, and birth actual bodies.

Deep in my soul I see endless turning cogs and unfathomable machinery. Sometimes, that is, when I meditate. They turn endlessly, and there seem to be endless amounts of them connected in endless ways. Is this a representation of a demon, or concept that I am tapping into?

Its a representation of inorganic consciousness within you. Most human consciousness is expressed in organic form, but there is an inorganic layer of universal consciousness that some people can tap into. If you are tapping into inorganic energy you have the potential to be a sorcerer if you practice something like nagualism.

I made the experience that electric light is usually not working in my dreams.
When I dream that I wake up in my room, and I want to turn on the light, it doesn't work. That happened so often, that it already started to give me a hint that I'm dreaming.
And then I saw a scene from a movie about lucid dreaming (forgot the title) where they said that light-switches don't work in dreams, and it can be used as an reality-check.
I found that pretty weird, that this phenomena is so widely known.
    Do you have it too?

For me, they often did not work, however one time I 'awoke' im a dimly lit room, and when I hit the light switch it turned 'off' but left wispy white outlines through everythings frame sort of like nazgul world LOTR except not windy and insane. Like I could see through objects and see the lines where the walls met the floors, and where wall met wall, see the outline of my bed and dresser, and see through the bed the lines of the walls and floor.

I've dreamt of smart phones, modern computers, etc. but it never works. In fact, it's a common problem in my dreams. Like I'll be stranded somewhere and have to call someone to get me but either my phone keeps glitching out or the numbers/text keeps changing.

  14. 1 year ago

I've used them before. Its usually a telepathic conversation using the phone as a sigil focus to facilitate the communication, or an interface to a telepathic internet network which responds to your mental queries by putting stuff on the screen.

Phones never work in my dreams. It’s one way I know I’m dreaming to focus on a phone or even on text. It looks real but changes constantly. The phone glitches in a very specific way. I’m so used to it now that I can use it as a trigger to wake me up in the dream.
Elevators never work right for me either in dreams. Nor do cars.

My dream technology is always behind a bit or quite different. Lately in the last few years I've dreamed of more modern smartphones, but 3-5 years ago I would dream of more basic phones like a T-Mobile Sidekick or Android 2.1 type phones with a keyboard.

I had a lot of dreams of basically 90s technology, too. Like dreams of beige tower computers and stuff like that. Even had VHS tapes and similar stuff in my dreams regularly. But now I do see more modern tech including weirder variants of more modern smartphones.

Has anyone noticed that dreams and AI creations have some similarities? Like how when there is text in AI it's jumbled all up similar to how it is in a dream. And the whole aesthetic of AI creations are very dreamlike.

I've never owned a cellphone besides the very first iPhone when it came out (which I got rid of in no time as I had no interest in it, it was a gift), I've always been treated like some kind of outcast or weirdo for it.
I get by life just fine without one though, and they call me crazy whenever they ask me questions.

    >Q: What do you outside?
    >A: That's my outside time, I don't need a phone or to reach out.

    >Q: But what if you do? What if there's an emergency?
    >A: Then I'll use a payphone or ask a stranger, always works.

    >Q: But what if there's no around?
    >A: Then I'll deal with that hypothetical scenario on my own, no need to think of an unlikely future until it does happen.

The one time I dreamed that I had a phone, funnily enough the whole premise was that I was sent to an alternate timeline where no human has one either.
I reached out for my pockets and found out I had a smart phone; the only one in existence. I was teaching how it functioned to these puzzled modern-era humans and it felt quite ironic.

Today I dreamt my phone was taking too long to load something so I threw it against the wall and broke it's screen.
So it was both the function and the physical object.
