What do you make of this?
I'd say it could be a sign of slowing inflation or a cooler labor market.
Wow, I never thought of that
It can also be the rush to build online sales/store pick up is over. Walmart was over paying to bring in persons for these positons. Now that the positions are filled there is no reason to over pay to attract workers.
Read the article. The starting pay cut only effects these specific positions, not across the board.

>How crazy? 25/hr in high col?
>constant anxiety teetering on the edge of homelessness?
Considering they went from lowest paying to one of the highest paying retail jobs it's kinda crazy
I'm pretty sure lowest paying has always been Kroger.
Nah, Walmart was notorious for having employees on welfare

Oh no! Americans will only earn $60k per annum now for their starter job and be limited to a single garage home!
No one is buying a home on $60K a year.
This dude thinks Walmart wagies get 60K per year wtf
Team Leads can make $50k+, assistant managers can make $60k+
>Team Lead and Assistant Managers
For the shit they have to deal with on a daily basis, that's way too low
>or the shit they have to deal with on a daily basis, that's way too low
For a job that doesn't require any technical skills, that's a great pay
What country are you from?
An embarrassing one since he didn't reply.
There's been recent news about Walmart fucking over pharmacist pay/hours as well. I'm glad they're doing their part to fight inflation.
They weren’t really fucking over pharmacist pay. They were just asking if anyone wants a 4 day work week or fewer hours in exchange for up to 20% less money. It sounds like a deal that could be favorable to older pharmacists with paid off everything.
The people who actually get fucked over in that scenario are the pharmacy customers that have fewer hours to pick up their medication.
>asking if anyone wants a 4 day work week or fewer hours in exchange for up to 20% less money
So... A pay cut. And that's in addition to cutting store hours so pharmacy staff have to work harder to get the same amount of work done within a smaller time frame. Thank God I'm at Publix.
Employers are going to start slashing wages to "fight inflation" but somehow all their prices will magically stay the same.
gotta pay for the cost of basketball americans theft.
This happened months ago. Glad you finally caught up after watching a George Gammon video OP.
>covid is deadly stay locked down
