He is smart, he just fell for dunning kreuger. He's smart when he's proven his point with hard math (he's good at math) or when he cribs (plagiarizes) the classics (often Montaigne).

Taleb unironically has the right idea and I wish I could work with him. He is ultimately slave to the Capital, though.
