My girlfriend and I have completely different political views

I just started dating this girl and she's a huge leftist. Needless to say, I'm conservative and Christian, so a lot of her opinions such as abortion are very disgusting to me. We barely talk about politics, but whenever I visit her Twitter profile there's always a new tweet about politics there.

What should I do? We never had any fights related to that, but it still makes me incredibly uncomfortable knowing she defends the murder of babies and all that other crazy stuff that the left parrots.

Plan with the end in mind. You think you will be able to marry her? No? Well, then you should take the profits and plan about an exit strategy. Sooner rather than later

It will cause strain. That's not to say it is impossible to maintain a relationship...but these are core values that will dictate your decision making for the rest of your life. So you have to be ready for disagreements and, yes, arguments. If you care about her enough and/or think you can weather than kind of regular tension in the relationship, go for it. If you can't, i don't know. It all starts with communication. If this is starting to get serious then you need to have the uncomfortable discussions on these subjects, just to find out where each of you stand - so you can both make informed, adult decisions about your future being together or not.

Stop posting bait threads to /adv/.
On the off chance you're just moronic, you should break up. Someone with fundamentally opposing values is never a viable partner. It is a waste of time.

So what you're saying is you have huge fricking character flaws in the form of backwards ass views you need to put under a lens and examine critically.

You should also realize being religious doesn't mean being "conservative" by definition. You can have faith and not be a regressive asswipe.

Work on yourself and take some time to think and learn about how harmful the political views you have now are and can be.

Anon if you are actually Christian you will look at every relationship through the lens of eventual marriage. Can you marry a woman who supports abortion? Who doesn't even share your core values. Frick no.

Break up with her and walk away, find a Christian and a Conservative woman

At first I wasn't supposed to date her. It was supposed to be just a distraction, a one-night stand. But when I was ready to distance myself from her by ignoring her messages, she already got too attached and said that I was really hurting her and that I made her cry. Reading her words really made me feel like a monster for he and I decided to take responsibility for my actions by trying to make this work. So far we haven't had any fights.

What is her thoughts on Christianity?

I don't know that yet, but I don't think she's against it since she likes horoscope stuff and all.

First off you should have been open about wanting to end things with her in the first place. You can't ghost everyone, people deserve more than that. Second off it sounds like she guilted you into the relationship which is not good at all.

You should be in a relationship with someone because you want to be in it, not because you feel bad or because you feel that you owe it to them.

If I break-up with her now it would be the same as running away from the problems I created like a coward without taking responsibility for them. I'll just keep trying, maybe one day she will get tired of me anyway and end things.

Lol, you didn’t think to find something like this out before you got in a relationship? Sorry to say but relationships like this will always result in one of you ceding ground and changing their views, it’s not even some minor differences in views on economics but something like killing babies shouldn’t be a ‘right’, either you dick her down into based trad wife or she emasculates you into cucked bugman

That doesn’t change my post, you should’ve looked into this before jumping in, at best now it’s inevitable that you two are going to separate and thus you’ve only dragged out the inevitable or you’re going to become a massive homosexual to accommodate her moronic worldview, you should be looking redpill her right now if you’re determined to make this work

Do you consider being dishonest responsible? Also
            >Maybe she'll get tired of me and leave me
You have to consider that maybe she won't and the fact she may in fact be becoming more and more infatuated with you everyday.

Sigh, I knew some buttholes would get hung up on that. Of course I know that is wrong, but being Christian doean't mean being perfect, I'm very flawed and I'm working on my flaws, I don't need some anonymous people with holier-than-thou attitudes to tell me that.

Despite what people think two people from different sides of the American spectrum of politics can actually get along and talk politics. It's about listening with an open mind without interrupting, realizing that you won't share the same views as another person but want to understand why they think that way, and in return they do the same for you. You both have to understand that it's okay to disagree but you both still have to respect each other's opinions as partners. It's actually a great way to start a conversation and really think about things instead of putting yourself in a echo chamber.

Not all people are like this unfortunately most of them are not. If your discussion on politics with your partner ends heated on a regular basis then yeah it's probably not going to go anywhere.

You should probably just break this shit off while you can tbh. If you're really committed to her, and absolutely refuse to break up though, be open about your political views and let her know that you find her opinions disgusting. Fortunately for you, many women often end up inheriting their boyfriend's politics, so it's very possible that you could change her mind. If you can't though, it will cause a lot of strain long-term, not to mention the differences in views that you two likely have when it comes to sex/relationships and child-rearing.
