It's all about the high notes nigga. People associate high revving engines with racing applications, which are cool, and low-revving engines with everyday consumer cars, which are lame.

Isn't the benefit of flat plane v8s that the crank is lighter? They sound bad. Making a cross plane sound bad gives you the worst of both worlds.
The crankshafts are the same.
Cross plane vs flat plane is a function of cam lobe order and exhaust design.
What do you think cross plane crank and flat plane crank mean?
