>move to the pnw
>see a lot lot more trans women when im out and about now
>notice a lot of them wear a dress or skirt
>decide to count how many trans women i see wearing a dress and how many cis women/passoids i see wearing a dress
>latest count is 5 trans women wearing a skirt/dress, 1 cis woman/passoid wearing a skirt/dress
do 99% of cis women and passoids bother to wear skirts or dresses outside of special events? it seems like skirts and dresses are honcore, at least here.
i don't like how jeans or shorts that go to my knees look on me at all, they're incredibly unflattering
pants fucking suck in general unless they're like bike shorts or short shorts
i wear streetwear #boy
Unironically, skirts are the ideal legwear for people with cocks whereas shorts and pants are uncomfortably tight-fitting in that area
idk if its just where i live (regional aus) but i see women wearing skirts and dresses all the time especially in summer
It’s regional. On the west coast it’s (extremely) uncommon. But it’s more common in the Midwest or east coast.
>do 99% of cis women and passoids bother to wear skirts or dresses outside of special events? it seems like skirts and dresses are honcore
I've believed this for a long time, but I've not expressed it out of fear of shaming someone into dressing differently.
cis women wear what they want to wear, not what they think makes them "pass". and yea ppl don't generally wear dresses unless the day calls for it, they're super impractical when it comes to work and stuff
Good thing mtf passoids and cis women were written out to be distinct entities and nobody suggested they dressed to pass
Skirts are definitely uncommon among college aged women these days.
Jean Shorts and atheletic shorts are the big thing looking around.
I've even seen a few with those black dolphin short things??? I thought those were just a tranny thing but noooo
I’m convinced most women, by now, just don’t like dresses that much. Like if you are a hon, you compensate for your femininity insecurities by femming up your fashion in a very obvious way. But of the passing MtFs I know, a lot of them chill out and end up dressing differently, it turns out when they already feel fem enough and aren’t overcompensating, many of them don’t want to wear dresses after all.
I mean I do know a cis woman who always dresses hyperfemme because she finds that fun, but she is definitely rare and sometimes considered downright weird for effortmaxxing her fashion all the time

This is a bit demotivating considering how unfeminine I've felt wearing t-shirts and jeans for so long and I've started getting misgendered occasionally because of it.
>This is a bit demotivating considering how unfeminine I've felt wearing t-shirts and jeans
They don't start wearing guy clothes again.
Just more chill femme clothes.
Like a tank top and bootyshorts.
Trans women were deprived of the ability to wear skirts or dresses their entire lives, idk why it would be surprising they want to wear them more often now that they can
You moved to Portland didn't you? Portland and Eugene are honville, Salem and Bend are passtown.
t. 25% of the women I see in Salem daily are dressed very nicely (including me), 25% really poorly, and half just kinda "femme"
nah i moved to olympia. i used to live in salem and didn't see that many hons, maybe once out of every dozen times. i also passed much much better in salem (no i dont wear dresses or skirts), i hate living in olympia.
dozen times i went out*
>olympia
Oof, yeah. Anywhere near Seattle is like being in the fallout zone around ground zero of the hon explosion. Salem has that professional vibe you don't get near the other major metropolitan areas. The women here are either gigastacy girlbosses, low/no makeup business women, or whatever slobs make it in from the surrounding area to do their shopping. Bend is similar from what I remember but also has a healthy outdoorsy influence to it.
>i hate living in olympia.
You can always move back! Plenty of work here right now, even for unskilled labor.
I'm very tempted to, I have professional connections there already and it shouldn't be hard to find a job there. The two big things keeping me from it is my field pays more in Washington and Oregon's income tax. I still have 7 more months on my lease here, but I'm tempted to move back to Salem.
Salem once my lease is over*
biological women are inferior once again.
i dated a tranner that was the absolute best dressed girl anywhere we went. cute, feminine, coordinated clothes and accessories like chokers, ribbons, bracelets, and light makeup.
meanwhile cis women wore yoga pants with waists up to their tits to hide their fat guts. disgusting.
>wear jeans
>just look like a guy
>wear skirt
>look like a hon but at least I get called she sometimes
I'm cisles and I wear skirts sometimes, feels nice when the heat is high. I like long skirts because they feel elegant, as well. Still love to wear pants more, though (and I don't need to shave to look OK in pants)
maxi skirts are infinitely more based than any other explicitly femme clothing item. everytime I see another girl wearing one they always rock it so well and I get jealous I can't be that stylish. shorter skirts are kinda boring
I'm a passoid and I always wear shorts or pants.
brit here, women here don't really wear dresses and things unless its kinda hot out? and even then theyre not that popular. but then like, wearing a dress also gets you harassed and catcalled ime so yknow.
picrel would be me if men could mind their own business tbhwy
where I go to uni (the south) dresses and skirts are definitely unusual but I would say most women definitely own them, they are just for looking nice like for a job interview or date. Most common outfits are dolphin shorts/x-large t-shirt and yoga pants or baggy jeans/crop top
Fashion varies by age and location.
Westcoastoids and zoomers rarely wear dresses and skirts
But in the south and midwest there are far more skirts and dresses
Personally, so many young peoplenlove alt fashion now that it barely even seems alt anymore. I feel counterculture wesring a cute dress as stupid as it sounds.
>Personally, so many young peoplenlove alt fashion now that it barely even seems alt anymore. I feel counterculture wesring a cute dress as stupid as it sounds.
Depends a lot on location there too.
I def feel this on the west coast but visiting the midwest it feels like alt is extremely rare and it's a sea of normies
Yea
Ultimately zoomer women tend to view fashion in eyes of like... pinterest moodboards as archetypes. And there are certainly archetypes of girls that like dresses and skirts.
Just for me like... I grew up in church. I didnt like church or anything but I always thought the clothes the women wore were sonpretty and I envied that they got to dress like that and I dont. Im fully aware its not the most popular aesthetic, but it IS an aesthetic and not just clueless dumbass wear
>Just for me like... I grew up in church. I didnt like church or anything but I always thought the clothes the women wore were sonpretty
This depends on the type of religion.
But I've heard Mormon women in particular get super crazily sexily done up for church. Have the highest rates of BA and wear things to show them off in church to mog other women, etc.
Other churches stress things like plainness a bit more.
For some reason coastal liberal coastal areas all shirk their femininity, in the south and midwest you'll see lots of skirts and dress but not much elsewhere.
I live in a liberalish area in the south and still see many in dresses so its region dependent
Not passing you need to do stuff for your safety like it is needed to at least show your trying to be feminine vs passing women can wear stuff that is flattering
