Mother wants me to stop buying books

I make $300 a month. I spend $150 on fast food and $150 on books. My mother bought me a Kindle, and told me to stop buying books.
She said I can use PC software to import pirated books into my Kindle and save those $150 to accumulate.
Not only that, she called me a fat homosexual and said I should buy a spaghetti bag for $0.50 and boil it and eat it everyday instead of ordering fast food everyday.
Is she right with both? Should I never buy books again? Or fast food?

There a LULZ board that is perfect tailored for fellow LULZners getting into cooking.

If you want something more classy hit up bon appetit.
I'm actually very much into cooking and for the past couple of years bon appetit has been my go to place for cooking resources.

I'm retarded but even I can cook, I just follow tutorials. Nobody's watching, so why feel ashamed? How To Cook Smarter is my favorite so far.

Apart from that, you can look up Gordon Ramsay's tutorials, but I hate the homosexual.

idk about never buying books or fast food again but you do need to learn to cook. learn how to budget. maybe save 60-70% of that $300 and spend whatevers left on books and food.

I live in the third world and make $350 a month, cook at home, and pirate my books. Listen to your mom. Adam Ragusea is also a decent YouTube channel for cooking.

If you read so much why dont you read a couple books on how to make money? My favorite is Success attracts Success by Frederick Dodson.

he reads YA books about nonbinary horse vampires that are at a 4th grade reading level, and erotic fiction called Raped In The Ass By Sonic The Hedgehog that are 20 pages long. That’s how he’s reading so many titles a month

When I was in OP's shoes I read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi. I began reading technical stuff and eventually made money with it. YMMV though. The clerisy are under no obligation to make money from their learnings, as they only read for pleasure.

OP should also check if his local library offers Overdrive; this allows you to hook your Kindle up to their ebook depository and borrow ebooks. Pirating is great and all but it’s fun to browse the Overdrive collections too, and it also costs $0

I’d prefer to buy hard copy books myself and I think it’s probably better for your eyes and health to read paper than screens. And I don’t think $150 month on takeaway is that bad, it’s like a couple times a week - probably has better nutritional value than spaghetti. You don’t really earn enough money to be saving, so I don’t think you’ll benefit much by living like a pirate on noodles for however long she expects you to live this. The cost of living today is like 5-10 times greater than it was for your parents generation. Anyway, advice from any woman is almost always totally worthless.

things costing more isn't an excuse to mismanage the resources you do have. $150 on books is fucking insane. even assuming each book costs $30, that's more than one new book per week. there's no way OP has the space to put 70+ books per year, and he's not even going to read most of them more than once. have any of you ever heard of a library card? for fuck's sake, are you all teenagers?
