Most of the world does not want to be fiddling around for hours to overcome some quirk in linux in order to have endless versatility just like they don't want to be their own car mechanic. They want their vehicles and all their technology to be opaque boxes with unknown inner workings that could be magic for all they care, as long as it functions. They don't care about nor are they benefited by endless tinkering and customization of software and hardware.

Consider the modern computer ---and almost every single product--- as a modularized tool. For most people it's not something be taken apart and changed like a mr. potatohead, it's just a single thing you buy that does stuff. For most people, it's office software, email, internet. just a thing you buy and do more important things with, usually not ranging further than those things. And this doesn't mean they're stupid; they just need the computer to be a means to some larger end they care about. It's about time, energy, and interest. It's the technological equivalent of being an executive and preferring to delegate all minor, linear drudgery to low ranking employees so that they can focus on more abstract tasks.

Given that relationship most people have to computers, surely you would understand why it's more important as a sculptural object with a pleasant, simple user interface, and why they would never buy some poorly made, plastic PC laptop with an equally ugly and overly technical interface

Stop pushing the linux meme and get a Mac.

There is no meme - if you like linux, use linux. If you like macos, use macos. Encouraging people to try something new isn't bad and isn't a meme

Linux isn’t hard. Only ones who say this shit are people who spend 30 minutes on a distro and give up because it’s not an exact clone of Windows

        linux is too complicated
Let me explain why: a program may not be available in the repositories i have added. I may even be forced to compile it from source. I also do not know what the package is called without first finding it on the website. These programs also have dependencies, and on linux every library is dynamic(fortunately this is being fixed right now by solutions such as flatpak snap and appimage which schizos for some reason hate). Additionally, the UI isn't that good. Designed by unpaid programmers(not designers), it just can't compare to windows/mac in terms of stability and being intuitive. Linux is an OS for SERVERS not for desktop. I have to admit the command line is godly
On windows, i download the installer exe it contains all it needs to work(exceptions are shit like .net framework but those are few and far between).
and mac is too dumbed down. I want to choose install location i want to have the OPTION to see what the installer is doing where it's saving files etc. Mac is good if you are video editing, developing for mac, ios or just browsing facebook but that's damn expensive for a facebook machine so might as well buy windows.

Shit gets hard when you want non-free stuff. But for an use case that doesn't involve proprietary programs it's all dandy.

guys, the real culprit were smartphones. (iphone, android)
if they were never invented the internet and computing would have a much higher literacy rate, and linux would likely have become much better.

I agree generally with your point, most people just want to use their computer to achieve their goals without getting into unnecessary details.

I see Android as the only form of linux used by the masses.

There's LTS distros. The fact you ignore this is pure trolling.
Just because the "stable" kernel isn't stable doesn't mean there's older stable kernels that are kept away from the beta damage.
