You irked people, but you’re right. It’s such a pandering and cringe album art. Even their name is pretty embarrassing. If they’re playing “easily discoverable” game, which I’m not knocking, it’s a bad look. Also the music is milquetoast generic shoegaze, nowhere near the top of the 2010s shoegaze boom.
I feel like that was the point of the album though. It doesn't try to be original or a masterpiece, just sort of a default template for early 10s MBV worship japanese shoegaze. And a comfy one at that.
As always, the best thread is the /gu/sic thread. Some good japgaze albums are Glitter by Pasteboard, Long Goodbye by Kinoko Teikoku and Urban Twilight by Oeil. If you're not exclusively a weeb, check out Whirlpool by Chapterhouse.

jfc I'm glad I got to live in a time without terminal online cynicism, I'd hate to live like this
This combination of skepticism and retardness is truly a disease on here
Irony has rotted your brain, sad.

Bad kittie!
I've seen the album cover 100 times and I never caught that lol
Crystallize by Tokyo Shoegazer.
It really is sad. He's so scared of the Reddit he starts to associate real life things like cats or guitar pedals with it.
