The analogy to the cab drivers is a perfect one. The stock market is made to invest tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands, so when the cab drivers gets in something is off. Stoicism is made for men that for some reason or another have no freedom, so when a wealthy woman gets into it, it breaks every rule. What the hell does a woman need stoicism for?

If you really wanted to learn about stoicism, you would read the works of people like Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus. Then you would reflect on them and see how you can apply those teachings to your own life. You wouldn't download "daily stoic challenge exercise cards". Frick, is it that hard for normie morons just to read a book?

Stoicism is the deliberate constriction of your wants, desires or cares down to those things you have absolute control over (things internal to yourself) and not letting your self, your emotions, your duties, etc. be controlled by what is external to that. This would mean things like your thoughts, your behavior, your habits, your emotions, etc. are yours and only by valuing those things above anything else can you be sure to be happy and free under any circumstance.

For many, "Stoicism" is a coping mechanism for when shit is going sideways for them already and they just don't want to feel it any more, try to turn it around or realize they are utterly powerless. But then again, women, so who knows. It's just as likely that they are doing it to stroke their own egos or belief in being intellectual.

          >they are utterly powerless
Don't women know this instinctively? They never take responsibility, they actually are powerless and readily admit it. This stoicism thing makes no sense.

A few years ago I met this girl who read Marcus Aurelius and was really into stoicism and she was going off about how there's no such thing as facts and so I asked her how is it not a fact that gravity exists, and she paused, seemed to get angry, and said she doesn't have to justify her thoughts to me. Alright. Of course I know the answer is that she can't justify it to herself.

Like most people, especially women, they will read something, but they won't really attempt to understand it. They may relate something they read to an experience they had, but that's about it.

Read about rat utopia. You are seeing the formation of the bieutiful ones. Both men and women dropping out of society as the rest abandon their natural roles. It won't be much longer now. Look it up then compare it to what's going on now. Then you will know why they are about to murder billions with war, pestlance, and famine. It is the end of days and few see it yet.

I've read a lot of things, and the only practical life advice I've ever heard that actually made a noticeable difference in my life when applied(which is easy to do), is-

"thinking is the enemy of doing"

Thinking too much was unironically stunting me in life, in every single aspect. This one quote, when I read it, was like a lightbulb going off in my head. I don't think about doing things I need to do anymore, because thinking about it leads to excuses of why not to do it. I don't allow myself to think about many things anymore. I just do it. Even when I go to draw. I don't think about what Im going to draw when I decide I should draw. I just start drawing, and things flow into making something properly. Im guessing a lot of us here are chronic overthinkers, and I'm telling you guys, not thinking about 80% of what I do has changed my life. Shit I barely come here anymore because this place is essentially just thinking, and zero doing.

      That's my motto too anon.

You always feel that if you give yourself more time to think about stuff you'll come to some amazing conclusion, it never happens though, only action changes things. Even if you come up with some amazing plan or theory it almost always falls apart the moment you apply it to the real world, again only action accomplishes anything.

I'm not saying they are, just that they entertain it. It's madness. It's like a man entertaining being a rent boy. It's degenerate and unnatural.

It's bound to happen, quit acting so surprised all the time or people might think you're actually dumb.
