    yes, and?

it is expected for big companies to do shit like that,
the question is, how does it affect you?
Anyone who likes computers, hardware, software, etc, and hangs out in here,
they should already be using linux. He who doesn't has no self respect and deserves whatever shit they ecounter.

and by the way, windows is an operating system or gaming. there is absolutely no other reason to use it.

If you have to use Windows for work that's how you know your career isn't going well.

some people here have actual real jobs and use softwares/tools that are only compatible on Winblows, neet

his point still stands. if you have a job that requires software that ONLY runs of windows its probably a shit job. Anything coding works on mac and mostly on linux. Any creative software works on mac. Exclusive to windows theres only slave software and maybe game development which is slave labour

so engineering/physics/hardware/aerospace anything that isn't doing javascript gobbledyasiatics is a shit job? You IT weenies have the smallest worldview imaginable, so small it's SAD. You cannot ever imagine someone doing a different thing.

I feel like Microsoft is the most evil company on earth, but they seem unstoppable now. I think the only thing I can do is do everything in my power to support open source and even alternatives like Apple. Until a viable Excel alternative comes around, Microsoft is not going anywhere.

Just install Linux like a normal person and you'll forget Microsoft even exists. Anyone still using their stuff is genuinely retarded. There's no excuse.

I think those warnings are shown for windows server/enterprise installs, in the event that you try to turn off a computer that is never meant to be shut down or have its services stopped. No sane person uses onedrive for automated backups, but there's always one weirdo who insists on using it to put everything in the cloud.

    >Explain why you are shutting down

Notifies elevated users who turn on the computer so they don't try to fix something you already fixed or interrupt if you are in the middle of maintenance.

here was your mistake. you're a braindead retard. not only does thinking not turn out well for you, you didn't even have to, since OP linked an article which explains for who that popup appears and what your options to answer are.
small hint: your little explanation, trying to make this seem like a useful security feature is absolutely wrong.

Use wintoys from ms store. Press uninstall. Problem solved. Before you might use new windows 11 feature "end task" or just use well you know task manager? It can only be confusing for normies.

You can just uninstall OneDrive immediately, or exclude it prior to installation even. Non-issue.
