Is the song called Evanescence or is that the band name? I have literally no idea. Also I always want to call it Evernescence because I'm American and Evanescence sounds like an English pronunciation of a word.
>20th anniversary remaster comes out tomorrow
And if the teasers are any indication, they made the guitars fucking listenable. Should be fun to try and listen to this thing again for the first time in probably a decade.
My general impression is that the bass and drums were pulled back a little and the guitars are pumped up, which is fine as the guitars always sounded flat and wimpy compared to most any decently mixed metal record. It's a tradeoff that I think benefits the album.
Bonus songs on the anniversary edition threw me back. I forgot that Farther Away and Missing were formative songs for me, even as a teen those B-side/rarities were the good shit when it came to this band.
Listening to it now. Definitely an improvement. All of the instruments are cleaner and you can even notice the drums now. The new strings version of My Immortal is so good.
mom i posted it again
You'll never wake up

The band is named Evanescence and the song name you're probably referring to is Bring Me To Life.

Bruh I've been listening to it on repeat since 2003 and I literally can't hear a difference.
Skill issue.
>20 years have passed

Amy Lee
20th anniversary soon. I still like this album.
I pray they clean it up and let us hear the instruments instead of loudness clouds

how many stars would you give it out seven (limiting yourself to two decimal places)?
Out of seven? I dunno, 4 and whatever change you can find in the back of your couch?
Too old.

In my mind, Nightwish became Evanescence and only recently did I realize I've never actually heard a song by Evanescence.
