That's because most NEETs are antisocial and live online. Even the extroverted ones don't have the money to be going out drinking, attending concerts or whatever else. You aren't going to see them outside because they don't hang around outside.

Fuck, this is what I miss most about having a steady job and place of my own. I'm not even extroverted, it was so much fun to just go to bars or nightclubs alone just to dance and meet new people. It felt really empowering to, knowing most people (especially normies) are afraid of going out by themselves.

Introversion doesn't mean being totally anti-social or having crippling social anxiety. I prefer being alone, and used nightlife as a surrogate for having friends.
Use another word, you can't say you are not an extrovert and then say that you like to go alone to nightclubs to dance and meet people. It simply doesn't add up.

There are like less than 1000 people dropping out of spite/moral reasons. There are somewhat larger group of mentally and physically disabled ones. The rest of population doing fine as they've always done. There are some stats that are misinterpreted like people are staying in education longer so it looks like more people are not working when you group young and older in same large group. Look at net economic activity rate 25 and up, they are about the same.
I'm currently 30, have a college degree, physically able and no known mental illness, live with broke parents who shits on me daily and homelessness is a grantee. I've never worked and don't plan to work.

The modern economy is based entirely on growth. It can't afford to lose any workers ever. Even if only 1% of men dropped out, that would be a staggering hit if they can't find anyone to replace them.
I have only know 2 other men that I know have been a NEET all their lives.

Kind of the other way around in my case... Which is ironic because i'm actually quite capable, as the places i've interned at attested to in the past.
