The answer
Fucking retard
hollow earth wins again
Maybe neurogenesis.
>Hollow earth
there'd be more mass above you until you float into the center where you'd get stuck
die
yes, this explains why I drop a iron weight on my lawn it sinks down 300 feet. thanks, homosexual.
at least you can drill for honey.
The fuck is this? The water isn’t even level for the flat earther
He's a 181 degree earther.
Water always finds its level. You can't bend water.
The fucker talks about gravity like it's real? Its Not!
And dont get me on the surfactant deal. I designed and helped build performance aluminum auto radiators. So I know about all the bullshit and additives etc...
>gased for wasted get
for flat'tards the water is all around outside
Yeah, seems about right.
The water in that second bottle is not parallel to the first bottle, so that isn’t the answer. It is close to and estimated answer, but not there yet.
It's no water if you freeze it, then it's ice.
Water is a liquid
Nope. Water can be vapor, liquid, or solid.
>steam
>water
>ice
Water vapor, water, frozen water. Its still water despite a phase change.
gas H2O is steam
liquid H2O is water
solid H2O is ice
Its still H2O despite the phase change
H20 IS STILL H20 IN SOLID OR LIQUID FORM, RETARD.
Kek. Bless you stylus anon.
she could be beautiful..
I want her to step on me
Its solid water bitch.
Then water is liquid steam, see the contextual madness you've unleashed?
I didn't care about the semantics until you implied steam is a gas. Steam is water condensing on nuclei in the air until it evaporates again, it's actually a liquid. It's a gas before and after it's steam though, unless it runs into something cold.
I thought this was funny too, picrel
Lul pythagorean theorem only works with a right triangle.
Yeah but isn't that what we got? 90 degrees at the center 45 at each line end
problems like this usually aren't drawn to scale, there's information from the question intentionally left out for luls. The information we have is that there's a 10m line inscribed inside the larger circle which is also tangent to the inner circle, and the inner circle is concentric to the larger one. 0<(radius of the inner circle)<infinity and 5<(radius of the outer circle)<infinity
how do you find this?
This assumes a right triangle and unmarked angles which is a lmao, those red 10m lines would also have to be tangent
Gotcha, I assumed what's visible was what steam was referring to
again this is retarded because those 10m lines don't even touch the inner circle, should be a dead giveaway to a struggling 10th grader that the solution's wrong
I hope for your sake this is bait
>I hope for your sake this is bait
read
Steam is gaseous, it's the gaseous phase of H2O.
It forming clouds in air due to condensation doesn't make a difference to this fact.
Horseshit, the only difference between water and ice is the temperature. The question does not specify the temperature, ice is perfeclty reasonable
H2O = H2O
If you feeze the water then the volume expands, dipshit
Unless it’s ice IX (ice 9)
>fails to illustrate expasion of ice
Come on core.
This thread is so retarded that the dude who writes on his screenshots is the smartest guy in the thread
More interesting than the typical garbage here these days. I’m surprised the homosexual jannies haven’t trashed it yet. Quick, post some black cocks so we can keep the thread going.
I have sample of her handwriting now
The problem is way more difficult than what they say. You would have to measure the dimensions of the container, and determine the volume available for the water to occupy in each configuration to determine the height of the line. They aren’t going to be at exactly the same height, because there is a different volume beneath the line at the tilt because the shape occupied by the water is different, there is more area for water to occupy say in the bottom 2 vertical inches of height in B than A, assuming the glass is cylindrical. Of course the line will be parallel with the surface of the table in any case, and anyone who doesn’t know that by the age of 5 should be culled, but that is another issue.
Women is science is such a fucking farce it is beyond imagination.
The only accurate answer itt
What's the problem?
Globe Cope

The water would be perfectly level, horizontal, straight, as always, to infinity.

Well of course, you're on the northern hemisphere, so it is below your horizon 🙂
touche fren.
But thats exactly how it looks from space to an observer aligned with the poles.
HAHAHAHA TOO TRUE.
globeheads cant explain that one.
Anyone who thinks they know exactly how the Earth is setup is a disgrace to the Socratic method. Socrates was declared the wisest man in Greece by the Oracle of Delphi precisely because he knew that which he didn’t know.
None of you clowns have any idea how the Earth is setup.
While I don’t know what it means, it is amazing that the line on the shade line on the moon doesn’t move, not even a little bit. At least as we observe it.
If the Money Power Empire financed model is correct, the Earth is spinning over 1k MPH, rotating around the sun, the moon is racing around the Earth (although its face never changes, the sun is moving rapidly through space, and despite all this rapid movement…. Not even a wiggle of that shadow line on the moon.
You can’t hold a flashlight 3” from the wall without noticeable shake!
The real secret is that we live in a geocentric universe. Yes, it's a globe, but everything in the universe revolves around the Earth. Both the current academic model as well as flat earth are psyops to divert knowledge from this and it's implications.
If you are already willing to throw out everything they told you about the globe universe. Why still clinging to a ball? Why is it so abstract and difficult for people to let go of the ball? We can see the level nature of this earth realm, we can see dozens of miles disproving the official globe curve, and airplanes don't account for any curvature at all, they fly straight and level towards the horizon and they have to treat the earth as flat and non-rotating when operating their real world machinery. The horizon is always on your eye level, at all altitudes, 90° to the vertical, all around you 360°. The conclusion of these things is no mystery and nothing crazy at all. It's the geometric reality of an extended plane.

behold, in the land of hegel, schoppenhauer, kant, nietzsche, heidegger, another genius flourishes
>If you are already willing to throw out everything they told you about the globe universe. Why still clinging to a ball?
Because I only care about the truth, not what's popular. The Earth is a globe, that's easy to prove. But it's also at the center of the universe, which is what the masonic fags in charge need to hide, so you think you're small and unimportant. The geocentric model is true, but the Earth is a globe.
> airplanes don't account for any curvature at all
They fly via air pressure. On a globe, they would automatically stay at a given height where air pressure is equal.
The real airplane problem is north/south flying on a spinning globe.
Not a flat Earther, but IIRC they don't believe the Earth is spinning - it's the sun, moon, and stars that move.
The Earth is alleged to spin over 1000 MPH at the equator.

would be better to give an argument instead of appeal to authority, but basically it works if its a cylinder because each half is symmetrical right
get out, funwrecker
Now do it for this one.
My example only works in the first one because the volume under the red dot horizontal plane remains constant. It won't work for this one because the volume under the initial plane changes as you rotate - so it's not so simply demonstrable
Some of the water spills over as you tilt it but not enough to equalize the levels
NO. JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL EXAMPLE, THERE IS LESS VOLUME OF THE CONTAINER AVAILABLE FOR THE WATER, WHEN THE CONTAINER IS TILTER. THE WATER LEVEL WILL STILL RISE.
Unknowable without knowing if the visual representation is accurate or without being given specific dimensions and angles (i.e. have we passed the point of no return in where
solution would no longer work)
Nice
Not nice. Do it yourself with a bottle. The level will be lower in B.
This is wrong you retards. I dont know why he thought water level would rise
Nvm I figured out why he thougt that. Cus the mesured the distance from the bottom of the glass instead of the bottom of the water kek
WRONG. THE WATER LEVEL GOES LOWER THE GREATER THE TILT.
Wrong, it's a curve retard. The level initially goes higher then lower as the angle gets more extreme. You're still smarter than most of the retards in here though.
only if the tilt is between 45 degrees and total spillage
ACTUALLY YOU'RE RIGHT. I JUST TESTED IT WITH A BOTTLE OF WATER WITH A MEASURING DEVICE BEHIND IT.

how long are the radiuses of circles
You cropped out the question
>A car drives the first mile fast enough to have driven 1 mile in 4 minutes. How fast must it go in the next mile to have traveled 2 miles in 4 minutes?
Cursed..
Heya non, gonna need you to cool it with that image.
45mph if one way, 35mph if round trip.
Infinite speed? It already traveled 4 minutes.
Are you retarded? You replied different answers for the same question
I feel like this is a trick question.
with 30 mph it will take 4 min to drive 2 mile
with 15 mph it will take 4 min to drive 1 mile
Already spent.
Am I just too tired and I screwed up somewhere?
You got it correct. The 2nd mile has to be done instantly because you already used up all the time in the first mile
Nice.
Yes it is a trick question, which is why it is famous. Back in Einstein’s day, people were almost as retarded as they are now. He probably asked this during presentations and at dinner parties to the plebs and they all thought it was super mind boggling and neato.
45
Wrong. See
There is not timelimit retard.
(15 + x ) ÷ 2 = 30
X = 45
The math is correct but this is a time problem, not a distance and rate problem.
Obviously Einstein and everybody here got this wrong.
If the car has to do 30 miles an hour for the trip it will take 4 minutes for 2 miles.
The first mile at 15mph takes 4 minutes, so that Einstein retard said it was not possible.
Obviously after 4 minutes climbing up the hill at 15mph the car just needs to fall in a straight line for a mile down a cliff to average 30mph for 2 miles. I don't care if it takes 18 seconds for the car to hit bottom,
PARSE_ERROR
The difference of their squares is 25m^2.
R2 = SQRT(R1^2+25)
R1 = SQRT(R2^2-25)
That's as far as I got.
It's a troll indeterminate question. Imagine shrinking the big circle and sliding the line down--still fits, with different circles.
Since we got a2 + b2 = c2 and we know a and b are the same we could maybe go a2 + b2 = 100. 50 + 50 = 100. So a = 7.07
Only if it's a right triangle, and it's not.
I feel like some part of the question is missing.
No, you just have to know the Pythagorean theorem.
For Pythagoras to be applied here you have to know the length of at least two sides...you don't. You can't assume the middle radius is 5.
Did you not see
?
Or are you going to be a homosexual and say the line is not quite exactly the diameter of the circle?
It's not...that's what I'm saying, you can't give a definite solution unless you manually measure and even this you'd wanna do a better job than the shoddy fucking lines drawn. There's a mathematical proof I can link you on this question if you wish. You can't assume the inner circle has a radius of 5.
Damn. Intellectual degradation of Bongs are enormous.
Jesus christ you're a moron. I'm doing a masters in engineering at a top UK uni. I don't even know why I'm arguing with you fucking dopes about this.
You may be book smart, but you're an idiot. You just doxxed yourself to a Kremlin Cunt.
And despite what you think, they do still make attempts to fuck up people internationally.
Yeah, Putin is personally paying me, so I can shitpost here and collect different information about some Bongs, to send them postcards with "From Russia with Love".
Guys, none of us have governments that give a shit about us or our families. We are cannon fodder and slave labor for them. No need to fight amongst ourselves. We are all serfs here.
Man will always have the reasons to conflict with each other.
The true question is about some kind of a rules about the limitations of a such fights.
And the true problem, I would say, that till the period of WW1 European countries had broke such limitations and different gentlemen agreements and start the uncontrollable brawl that's continuing upon this date.
>Put Germans in every Monarchy

Future of the British infrastructure and machinery looks bright as hell.

Unfortunately to you, British ATGMs are pieces of shit too. By common opinion of Russian and Ukrainian troops. Anyway, at least you still will have Rajesh to make basic calculations for you.
Built an empire on the Rajeshs
>empire
in which tense?
Technically, you had already built it.
Cause British Empire was, partly, the Great Moghols Empire too.
Still, I doubt that they will make it alone.
Yeah, well if they wanted to illustrate a more obscure mathematical concept, they would not have drawn the line so that it is exactly the diameter of the circle in the drawing to the tune of 99.9%. I understand that you probably have some legitimate math training and in testing they often use drawings that are not to scale in order to force you to use non-intuitive understanding and apply mathematical proofs, but I dont think that is the point here. I understand what you are saying though, and if you were building a bridge, you would probably need to measure to be sure that the line and the diameter of the circle are the same to an adequate margin of error.
Yeah that's what I was originally saying, there's clearly something missing. The question might be asking you to literally measure the circles using the 10m measurement, and would tell you to assume everything is to scale. The people trying to apply trig here are simply not understanding that you don't have enough information to do that.
Yes,
illustrates how the question should have been drawn though if you were trying to illustrate that the answer is unknowable while not being a purposefully tricky cunt.
>90°
Correct.
Anyway, answer is ~14.
Is that line supposed to be the same length of the diameter of the inner circle cause it’s not obvious.
I don't think so.
This anon got very close to it.
The smaller circle's radius is 5.
The bigger circle's radius is 10/sqrt(2).
Not possible, require more info to find an exact solution to the question. The only certainty without manually measuring the circles is that the radius of the outer circle is > 5.
Look at this bongman too
You can't apply Pythagoras to this. What I said is a literal mathematic proof on circles applied to this very question.
You CAN, because you can calculate the other sides of the triangle if you know at least one of it.
You need to know two sides of a triangle if you are using Pythagoras you fucking moron. That's the entire formula. You never did trig before???
You have exact values of triangle base and angles. You don't need anything more.
WHERE ARE THE FUCKING ANGLES??? TELL MEEE??? YOU CNA'T FIND LENGTH WITH JUST BASE AND 90 DEGREE YOU FUCKING SPECCCCCCC
no you dont. you have the length of one side and the angles arent given
not without an angle or a second length

infinite solutions
r_small^2 + 25 = r_big^2
suppose the larger radius was arbitrarily large. You can always increase the smaller radius until the chord at the point of contact is 10m
infinite solutions
Another solution.
And pretty nice one.
your assumption is incorrect,
where the chord meets the larger circle, and u draw the perpenicular bisectors, you are not guaranteed that the resulating rectangle is a square
it only apears that way on paper
I meant this one
i thought that as well at first but then i realized it will always be a square as long as:
1. they are perfect circles
2. the inner circle is perfectly centered in the outside circle
its not a guarantee
draw on a piece of paper two circles, one really small, and the other much larger.
Repeat the logic and you get an obvious rectangle
read this
Pretty nice
I guess I just wanted some text ensuring me that the two circles shared the same center or something similar.
>Pretty nice
its wrong
The logic is there. I think it is just the fat lines that end up making it look off.
my dude
read
dont make me pull out a compass and ruler to show you
I get what you are saying. The figure may not be representative for the actual dimensions and we can only rely on numbers. I'm just saying that in lack of any other options it looks like that was what was intended. Sort of a best guess.
>it looks like that was what was intended
i disagree
the only intent we can assume is the information givven
and if enough information isnt given, we must give the generalised solution
This is not solvable without eye-balling assumptions on other measurements
Easy, inner circle radius 4.615m, outer circle radius 6.846m.
Suck my cock.
R1=5
R2=10/(2^(1/2))
30=[(15*4)+(x*(x/60))]/2
X=0
It must travel instantly.
Missing a value bro
This anon gets it
Go back to gradeschool
There are infinite possible radii.
Big circle is 14 m and smaller circle is 8 m
It's unsolvable since you have no angles so you can't ultimately know what the size ratio is between the 2 circles and you can't apply any formulas and figures to find out.
The water level thing is a brutal blackpill on women honestly.
7.07m
> have a better one and 90% of /misc/ fails
how long are the radiuses of circles
Not enough information to solve.
Increase the size of the outer circle and the inner circle, and you can get a 10m tangent to the inner circle.
More info required to solve.
There might be enough there to support this one
This would have to assume that the circles are concentric, but there's likely a way to prove that at the point of tangent, a line from the center that intersects the chord at 90 degrees bisects it.
You're still working in terms of r1 and r2, but you now have a right triangle with a one side a known length so you can establish the relationship between them.
record player
Just phone fagging on the shitter, my guess is 5 and 5*sqrt(2)
1st biggest circle = 7.021 m
2nd smallest circle = 2.021 m
I dont think it is solvable. You could draw that same picture witht the inner circle being any size, and keep that 10 m the same.
Outer circle is 5sqrt2 and inside circle is 5
That’s my answer but that requires the circles to share a center point (not stated)
Literally none of you don't get it. This homosexual used a vpn to be jap, this is a pun about the jap flag dot being off-centre before they changed it. Good one anon.
Depending upon the speed at which you tilted the glass and the moment wherein you've captured diagram b, there could either be more or less water on either side, until it settles.
Additionally, the weight of the water would wither tip the cup over fully or settle it back down as in diagram A.
Problem solved.
Honestly, this difference can to amount to which sex handles bottles more. It's not necessarily an intuitive question to ask, but absolutely one that can be answered with the experience of fucking around with a bottle, which I'm certain more men have done.
I don't think the question is representative of intelligence
I fell for the bait so
>women don't drink from a bottle or a glass multiple times a day
>people don't literally see the solution to this problem every time they have a drink of something
Yeah because women never drink or handle liquids in clear glasses or bottles. They all drink out of water fountains.
>It's not necessarily an intuitive question to ask
>I don't think the question is representative of intelligence
Pic related is all women literally all the time
> I don't think the question is representative of intelligence
You are correct. It is about entitlement.
Women are entitled to out the water wherever the hell they want to put it. BTFO, and kiss their *ss, you know you want to pretend they like you and want you.
My girlfriend failed this one.. it is embarrassing but I still love her very much. I think I saved the screenshot somewhere.
Ah yes here it is
never delete that
She considered the momentum
Read article wondering what the error margin is for the area. Find out women don't draw a horizontal line. WTF?
The cup is upside down. If you tilt it the water will spill out.
Idiot
Less space on the bottom of the glass when it is tilted, water level will be slightly raised
Only to the 45 degree point. Then it lowers.
Cmon anon!!! Does do the respective areas below the line look to be the same size, my god

If your answer is something other than this, congratulations you’re fucking retarded or a woman.
Oops forgot pic
Again, this is wrong. Luckily this is something you can prove to yourself if you own a clear glass or bottle. At your level you should be reading, not posting.
You’re both fucking stupid. The water will be level as you tilt the glass.
That would mean there's less water on the right. Where is the water magically vanishing to when you tilt it?
Glass gets wider at the top of the line.
You're retarded
No my friend you are.
Here’s your (You).
Wrong. The area under the line is greater for the left jar than it is for the right. The water line needs to be higher for the right jar.
No the left is higher. Just take a glass or bottle and you will see.
The area under the water line needs to be the same for both jars. In order to accomplish that the picture I was responding to needed to raise the line on the right.
No it isnt youu dumbass. The water line is also longer on the right bottle. It evens out.
Cant belive there are so many women gere
>line is longer
You have to think of it in terms of area, not length. You're missing an entire dimension, no maths dimwit.
Yes idiot. The left space is equal on every side. While right one starts wider and goes thinner. But it evens out. Its the same space
This is lioe that thin long tube and wide shorter tube experiment for kids. It contains the same amount of liquid and children dont understand it
>It's the same space
No, it's closer to half the space if you actually measure.
This guy is correct autismos. I don't really think measuring the water volume is the intent of the question though
The point of the picture is to determine whether it not someone has a high enough spatial IQ to draw the line sightly higher for the right jar. If you wanted to go turbo autism it wouldn't be too hard to measure and draw the exact height, but obviously that's not the point. It's just to see if you're smart enough to understand that the glass needs the same cross sectional area of water for both positions. It's so obvious to me that I can't believe people can struggle with this yet somehow manage to breathe.
Reading the article (didn't at first), it's even worse than you'd think. The purpose is to see whether you draw a horizontal or non-horizontal line. So women can't even draw the surface of the water level, let alone visualize what the volume of the water should be
>Women can't even think in one dimension
Fuckin kek
yeah i was kinda blown away personally, at first i felt a bit embarassed because i was having problems determining just how high to put the line, it didn't even occur to me that someone could think to change the slope of the line, it's very bizarre
now imagine it is a closed glass box.
you are retarded
I dated a well accomplished female engineer and a female welder, it's weird how mechanically incompetent women are by nature.
There is no bottom to the beaker, so when tilted it all runs out onto the table.
In science you are not allowed to assume and since the question does not give enough data to confirm there is a bottom to the beaker, means there isn't a bottom.
Water level stays the same, duh.
This is objectively the only correct solution.
Literally have never seen the correct answer on this board.
75/75
Even
Even, since the third box was never a part of the equation once the gold ball was selected.
I don't know - it's either this puzzle or one like it where the obvious answer isn't the correct one I think having to do with the fact that if you chose a gold ball, you were likelier to have chosen it from the box with the two gold balls so your odds of picking up another gold ball are better than even.
>pick a randon box
1 in 3 chance
It's 2/3 you gorilla naggers.
pick a random gold ball
2/3 chance it's in the box with the two balls
there are no correct answers to this problem. the truth is that were are all human beings and that Dennis had it right when he said that the best answer is always the answer that is the best.

you at least get a (you) for being correct. nice illustration.

The standards will be lowered Like usual.
Does anyone have a wife/gf can you show them this problem and see how they respond?
YOU WIN.
What I find interesting about this thread is that it started as a woman "hate" thread but evolved not into malevolent woman bashing but rather into a discussion regarding solutions to math problems, both satirical and actual, and it's been going on for three hours now. Since it started as a women thread, it kind of begs the question, are there any forums where an audience of almost exclusively women ever discuss this kind of stuff?
> The real secret is that we live in a geocentric universe.
How do you know? I have no idea if you are right or not, but I am interested in gaining more data to logically assemble through my trivium algorithm.
Doubtful; unless you find a single gendered maths forum.
The second gender's brain is wired for social interaction; whereas the first gender is geared toward logic and problem solving.
Doesn't mean that both aren't capable of the other, its just part of the reason HR, nursing and teaching are dominated by the second gender, and engineering is dominated by the first.

>Females disproportionately give the wrong answer to this puzzle. In their efforts to level the results, researchers tried using photos instead of schematics, using a container with rounded sides so there will be less interference with a horizontal water line, having the water lines pre-drawn and just asking the participants which line looked correct, and just generally making it easier and easier. It didn't matter: after decades of variations to the puzzle, a significantly higher proportion of female adults and adolescents still draw a slanting line.
Holy fucking hell
wait they get it wrong because they draw a SLANTED line? wtf?
>If the line you drew is anything other than horizontal, you answered wrongly.
WTF how stupid are people. I was looking at it trying to figure out at what level the water would be. OBVIOUSLY it is going to be horizontal, I wanted to know whether the line would be above or below A. I say it is below because if the glass had a lid and you turned it horizontal, the water level would be lower.
volume bro
The top part you'd need to calculate the area of the triangle and then how much it fills the parallelogram. Hope this test is open book.
brother, parallelogram volume = base x height x depth
exactly the same as a rectangular prism
Oh well that's easy then I just can't remember that shit from 20 years ago.
because they're let into undergraduate and graduate degrees with lower standards, standards have lowered across the board. Moreover, the game that used to be played (the best wins) with men, is not how women play. Which is why men demure from education as they are surrounded by women and their rules of the game are the antithesis of male virtue
