If anon is not a megamind, he definitely has a holes in his observations. He probably upset that his holes, are not controversial enough for anyone to take a closer look at them and find a point they can pressure in their reply.

You are either new here or in denial. Any shitpost absorbs the entire attention of the board and if you defend so be it. There is no fighting it anyway. If someone sets a thread or post stating that whatever philosopher he never even read is stupid, fascist, sexist, based, cringe or whatever, it will generate a basal repetitive discussion over the topic. If someone actually reads a book on said philosopher and comes here with the pure intention of presenting what he learned, questioning certain statements etc., he gets ignored.
I honestly don't care anymore. I am now a shitposter myself and you are the ones nourishing people like me. I guess that those who truly are stupid are the anons who lose their time trying to disprove my comment on how nietzsche is LE BAD or whatever. Thankfully I dont waste my time in these place for anything other than having fun anymore and the reason is (you).

I explicitly told you that I will reply to your shitposts over your reasonable ones. In your case you hide behind shitposting, you couldn't make sincere, reasonable posts if you tried.

Just a like a dog who rushes to a trash can to consume whatever smelly shit is in it instead of going for their ration. This sums up the average poster here. Thanks for the enlightenment though.

If you would put as much vitality and emotion into writing about potato farming I would both be motivated to engage and we would learn about potatoes. Sadly you can only do pure shitposts with no fruit.

I was entirely on your side (your non newly acquired shitposting side) where I was agreeing that "tik-tok top 10 queer books u should read before transitioning" will always going to get more yous, than a life searching question about a work you've just read.

Yeah, it burns you out after awhile. All you can really do is ignore the low-quality/shitposts and try to effortpost whenever you find a thread that's actually valuable. It's harder than it seems though

    >know everything there is to know about that topic
    >post 2 paragraphs outlining my own view, which is now accepted as standard by most, as well as alternative/classical views, and recommending the major books and articles on the topic to get a well-rounded perspective
    >replies: "That's actually wrong you moron Nietzsche was a freemason and a muslim"

Why would you ever care what replies you get? 80% of replies on IQfy are white-noise youtube comments from zoomers who barely even read what they're replying to. This would be much more obvious if it were a more concrete field like maths, since everybody can tell right away that some guy doesn't know what he's talking about. On IQfy you just have to remember the same phenomenon is occurring, even if it's less visible.

I think it's a feature of autism (which I also have) to try to treat every single truth or knowledge claim as on the same level, as needing affirmation or refutation. But you have to learn to be selective. If someone posts "Ummm no?" in response to me saying "Plato was an Athenian, you know," I don't go UM EXCUSE ME ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING? YES HE WAS??? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY DENYING PLATO WAS AN ATHENIAN DUDE?!!?!? I just picture the guy wearing a dunce cap and eating glue. He'll say anything, he's not even really there.

I really fricking wish IQfy would add something like LULZ where you can't post the same sentence without getting muted for a couple seconds
also add a mandatory 250 word minimum for all posts, and the quality of the board would go up drastically because it would be easier to filter out the white noise like you mentioned

Just ban phoneposters. IQfy doesn't ban phoneposters because it uses them for revenue. If you didn't care about revenue, you could ban phoneposters and 60-80% of posts would disappear instantly, boards would return to their pre-2014 states or better right away. Most zoomers would refuse to use any website without a phone, remember they don't even remember how to use a real computer. All the posters who only use IQfy the way they use any other social media, to self-medicate their boredom by upvoting/downvoting "memes," would move to greener pastures (and hopefully die painfully).

Become an eccentric reclusive billionaire and buy IQfy, keep it as the one remaining bastion of free speech, then wait until you're contacted by whatever shadow organizations want to kill you or tell you to cooperate or they'll kill you or however it works up top, or alternatively wait until the internet gets clamped down on and turned into a curated January 6th Insurrection Memorial Message Board in a few years and wait until the feds come for you for being "the last bastion of free speech" then

No, I would just buy IQfy and hire actually qualified moderators and (get this) actually pay them to enforce the rules. Might do the same thing for IQfy and IQfy too

this might make this board worse. less funny and more neckbeardy. also, if you're a shitposter who thinks of shitposting as art, then these limitations only inspire creativity to shitpost harder. the only solution is upholding a reasonable board culture. it's (You)r job to post good stuff.

You have proofs that Neetzchze is not a freemason or muslim? You want to continue shove his nazi ramblings down our throats, before explaining how he ended up in with his ways? Allah has put Neetzsh into asylum so he wouldnt spill the beans, on what Yahweh and his freemasons were doing during their free time. Also, you cant deny that ubermensch concept, excist only as insensitive for jihad warrior follow the most sacred writing of Quran

Imagine doing things for the approval of others. I only effort post when a topic of my interest comes up only to spread awareness about my niche interests. I couldn't care less if I get a reply or not. Most of the time it either gets no reply or it gets seething contentious replies.

Because IQfy is a dopaminefest. No one wants to waste time reading long effortposts that you might even have to read twice when you can get into some monkey shitflinging debate with some others because of some 1 sentence baitpost.

Effortposts don't provoke discussion but they're still appreciated. Most times I read one and enjoy it but don't have anything to say about it other than occasionally "thanks, good post" or something.
Just know that every effortpost you make, whether it gets replies or not, is read and appreciated by numerous anons, and the silence in response is more valuable than the 50 moronic shitposts.

  12. 2 years ago

How about controversial posts that do not garner any replies? Can they be manufactured? Can we flood this board with those kind of replies?

  13. 2 years ago

Phoneposters aren’t the problem and having a word minimum won’t solve anything. IQfy has lost the ability to police itself. Those who come here in good faith are greatly outnumbered. Moderation is badly needed at this point sadly. I believe having rules like:
    >no political discussion, no exceptions
    >no “books for this feel” threads
would go a long way. I guess jannies put in minimum work because they aren’t paid. Can’t really blame them. It would take a lot to clean the board up.
