Main causes of poverty in Croatia - smoking & coffee "culture"

Cigarettes don't need explanation but the second one does a bit. We are a country where people like to spend their work breaks and weekends sitting in caffees, drinking coffee. Every. Single. Day.

Imagine a country of people who do not have high levels of income, add financial illiteracy and no self discipline and you get this nation.

On my day 1 as an absolute dictator I will raid every single caffe in a country and brand with iron every customer with a giant M for Moron on their forehead.

Next is 40% higher income tax for fat people.

And last is public whipping of smokers on town squares.

It's not about the coffee, Croat wastes few hours every day drinking coffee and talking about stupid shit. A habit that is unimaginable for an average westerner.

So you're unemployed then...just say it and at least you'll start being honest with yourself that you failed your own people and country.

I am not unemployed. What I am is financially disciplined. I can work for entire work week without spending a single euro.

      >oatmeal before work
      >thermos bottle of coffee from home

That is not good for the economy.
The money needs to circulate, so drink more coffee.

Retards hate coffee because they have no social life and nobody to drink a coffee with, many such cases.

Both true and no - I myself don't have many friends to drink coffe with but I do enjoy it. However as the Croatian pointed out it is very expensive so what I did is invest in a grinder and home machine so I can make it very high quality for a fraction of the price. I drink ~4-5 cups/day, for 30 days, 6g per cup = ~1kg/mo, 1kg is ~17 euro atm.

That said in my opinion Croatia's main problem is cucking to the EU (although fiscal idiocy of the average balkanite is also a big one). At least we own our homes.

I was half memeing, but 5 cups a day is mental, thank God I got off caffeine, but a cup of coffee while discussing some conspiracy theories with your buddies is essential for my Serb brain.

I completely stop it for 3-4 weeks every 4-6 months to cleanse myself off the physical addiction then go back again lol. I really enjoy the smell and occasionally I have it with a glass of brandy or rakia (like in your picture).

I've been trying to convince my friends of the benefits of visiting each others' homes instead of wasting money at restaurants, or even you could make the coffee at home and drink it in the park or while hiking outside. It has been very hard but now with inflation they're starting to see my point.

What worldly endeavor in this life isn't a waste? Idle away life drinking coffee sounds like a great plan. Slaving away at corporate job or some other silly thing isn't accomplishing much either. More worldly crapola?

That's a based country, we do the same here although not as much. It's literally a social activity man, people do it in some way or the other everywhere in the world. The reason of poverty isn't cigarettes and coffee, it's the fact that people have wages so low they can't afford these simple, basic things.
