same here, but since the production is bland you would assume it has another merit, but no

It's the most varied pop genre and it's not even close

Yeah rock is extremely bland and uninteresting.

Despite being played on the same, single instrument, you'll find the Goldberg Variations, Fur Elise, the Gymnopedies, The Entertainer and a child learning Mary Had a Little Lamb to all be quite distinct.

            >All rock has the same production
Are you some kind of western music outsider who's struggling to understand it? You're probably a asiatic who can't name any rock bands because you've only heard it in American movies/other people playing it. Rock is an extremely expansive genre with different production styles across the board.

part of the beauty of rock music is that (mostly) anyone who’s inspired by it can start their own band. it’s much easier for some poorfag or middle class rando to get a guitar and slam out some tunes with a couple friends then to learn classical etudes on piano or get a saxophone and start learning how to improv over jazz tunes etc.
rock musics instrumentation is defined by its accessibility

on a great album i expect that every song has it's own "quirk" going on, not just a different melody with the same instruments

Three lements of music are melody, harmony and rhythm. I guess all of the, are too much for you to grasp.
