No. A deep water fish at the surface is dead.

Why is mister fishy so sad??? Maybe he needs someone to put him back in his water

      >Maybe he needs someone to put him back in his water
      That won't help anymore.

I did the same, realised that while I like technology for a hobby, I really didn't want to sit in front of a computer all day for a job.
Got into landscaping. Though I did always like nature in general also.

What you're saying is that addiction doesn't exist. Which is absurd.

hmm I don't recall considering programming "boring"...

You must be using the wrong languages. Try C++

Same but for gaymedev. It's fun if you're pursuing your own ideas, when you're a monkey doing what you're told all day every day that's boring as shit. I don't even care what I'm doing at that point, I only care that I have no agency or freedom

Taking a hobby and trying to turn it into a career usually makes you grow to hate it. This is why practically nobody works in the field their degree is in. Thinking you are going to love your job is setting yourself up for failure. If it was fun you would have to pay them to do it.

    Are you perhaps a normie?
Programming is a shit job for normal people.
You are stuck behind a screen all day
Only reason to become a programmer is because you are too autistic to do anything else

I left computer science because two reasons, one like you op, i didn't pass programming because i was not good at it and i really didn't enjoy it too much and the other reason where the math's. Maybe i'm a fucking normie and well, i'm kinda one but i really like linux and system things so i change to a IT focused degree to be a sysadmin in the future, maybe i will not enjoy it too but i don't want to starve
