As a millennial I can tell you that there were tons of kids who were into Pink Floyd, 70s nostalgia was even somewhat trendy in the 90s-early 00s, there were a lot of kids who grew their hair and dressed like heshers from the 70s

Apparently it's another term for metalhead, I always thought it just meant like a stoner though, I remember some Nickelback review where they got called "heshers"

wrong. the bands our dads and us liked are actually good and timeless. no steely dan or eagles bullshit. we loved bands like floyd, zeppelin, stones and sabbath. and also you can't refute:

either a disingenuous fag or you're just delusional, but a lot of millenial hipsters hated dadrock, led zeppelin specially was seen as a meme

also LULZfags don't represent an entire generation.

This is also true. like when I think of punk rock people my age liked....people were into shit like The Casualties in my neighborhood for newer bands, and were all into like Dead Kennedys and 70s-80s punk and hardcore. But then I come on LULZ and people are only discussing post punk shit I never heard of back in the day from any punk fan, and I look at the bands pictures and they look like the farthest thing from punk, it made no sense to me.

Basically LULZ has always had more beta males than anything, thus the heavy hipster indie rock population.

I didn't say that their opinion matters, my point is that their opinion existed
                >but the majority still liked it!
yeah, normies liking popular music, no shit, the zoomers that still care about classic rock also like that as much as you want to believe they are just pretending so your disingenuous argument don't fall apart, pink floyd in particular is RYMcore so even the nerd ones like it, some of them just pretend to just like it sure, but both sides have always existed

Only it's not really true, cause in the 90s-early 00s 70s shit was pretty popular.

I think there is a demographic of contrarians who probably disliked it, and that'd be hipsters, but hipsters weren't the majority and were pretty sparce in probably most parts of the US as a culture anyway. And even then it depends on your definition of hipster, because I remember the garage rock kids being labeled "hipsters" back in the day and that entire scene was about 70s worship, it really wasn't until the indie rock college kid pseud thing

Pink Floyd and Led Zep were still super popular what are you even on about.
Just look at the record sales for Pink Floyd in general for those years, Roger Waters even did a Wall tour for them in 2011.

I'm a millennial who saw Roger Waters before 2000 and my first concert was a Pink Floyd Laser Show and also saw Dark Side of Rainbow in Imax. Where you get your information from, son?
