Louis Rossmann is using XFCE but he won't reveal the distribution he is using. Any guesses?

there's no way you could know given the info provided, and the distro itself is mostly irrelevant

Just because some guy is using Python and tk in a way you don't like doesn't make them worse

SteamOS is based on Arch and obviously ships Steam
Nobara (GloriousEggroll dev's distro) is based on Fedora and also has Steam
I'm using openSUSE which is neither of those and it's not Ubuntu either and I have Steam installed

      Steam works on everything.

done work in dozens of industries over two decades, you can consider yourself lucky if you get a half-assed ui, usually it's just some dos shitware

Of course, but at a professional level there's little reason to care about UI. OTOH most of LULZ are posers with the mentality of young girls who crave the shiny.

If distro choice doesn't bore you you're still a casual. Why to people give a shit what someone else uses? It doesn't make anyone part of a special club unless you contriboot code.

Linux doesn't need users, especially DE fetishist teentards of any age.

He is completely tech illiterate, he only knows how the hardware works. I wouldn't take his opinion on anything software related

      Anonymous

he's not tech illiterate. its just he only knows about hardware. he is totally out of his depth when it comes to software and he loves drama because of all the right to repair shit.
see: the whole grapheneos situation. he basically got a bunch of people to bully the dev off of graphene but it was in title only and its still the guys project, and rossman is retarded for saying that a privacy schizo who makes a privacy schizo phone os is untrustworthy because he's a schizo, despite it being open source.
I used to watch some of rossmans old content but I just can't anymore, it wouldn't even be a problem if it wasn't him preaching shit to his huge audience and acting like he knows what he's talking about, thus putting that idea into his followers.
actually had a talk with someone about graphene and he just totally misunderstood the situation because he only saw the rossman video and was a rossman dicksucker. I hate ecelebs so much

Looks like he just installed XFCE on top of regular ubuntu.
Which is based, why complicate things.
I still argue that ubuntu unity is the best distro.

But a lot of that doesn’t matter anyway, a Linux distro is just some prepackaged stuff to make Linux easier. They’re all basically the same thing with different preinstalled features. Could be Ubuntu, could be mx Linux, could be regular old Debian with XFCE, could be fedora or slax disguised as Ubuntu with XFCE, could be centOS disguised just the same, it’s not the OS that matters but how it’s used
