Tried on a few over the years. They are supposed to be quality pieces and people have fallen for the Alpha Industries memes. Mine is a Buzz Rickson and wasn’t cheap, but it looks much more flattering and authentic.

Why not just get a surplus one?

I got an alpha industries 1970 made one (with wool insulation) for less than the cost of any repro.

Anything made by Alpha Industries is garbage. When they were the supplier for the US military it was during a time of extreme cost cutting.

It’s priced for people who care about quality as opposed to people like yourself who want a cheap disposal look that you’ll be over in two months

            >both brands get their nylon distributed from the same manufacturer
            >”but muh quality”
            >spending more money on a hipster brand to make yourself feel more important than others
I bet you don’t drink coffee unless it comes from Starbucks too. God, I hate people like you.

Buzz M65 contains no nyon as it’s based on the second pattern design which uses a much heavier 100% cotton shell.

Their fabrics are also all sourced and hand made in japan on cold war era vintage looms that Toyo enterprises has operated and maintained for nearly 80 years.

            snake oil
            >M-MUH M65!
just buy a milsurp one, you’ll pay 1/4 for a mint condition one as opposed to a BR repro

Every one of my m65 models and ma1 are made by them and they’ve held up well

No but I’m looking into getting a light grey Members Only jacket since I gave my other one to my brother because it fits him way better than it fits me. Also, I’m hijacking your gay thread for my question: How do I make a light grey Members Only jacket more punk without damaging it in ways that would make it less functional as a jacket?

My longest owned garment and favourite piece. Picked it up in winter 2006 from an army surplus shop with my first payment from my first job (sandwich artist)
Got slagged off at the time for wearing it (most by my country’s equivalent of gopniks) only for shittier but x3 more expensive versions to become must-haves.

I’m not bothered about it. So yah, in shorthand time we get automatical cloth production by machine hand. Lest of half year for you.
