>use Firefox on Linux
>try to switch tabs with 'ctrl+#'
>"wait wtf"
>it's 'alt+#'
THIS is why people won't switch to Linux, who in the world uses alt for anything but rage quitting League of Legends??? "b-but use muh extensions" bloat bloat bloat!!!
N
Normies use mouse
>muh bloat
windows 11
It is ctrl+tab to change tabs in Linux with Firefox.
i didn't even know it was different in windows, lol
i don't really use the numbers though, i have too many tabs for that to be useful, i use ctrl+tab / ctrl+shift+tab
it's so retarded because ctrl+tab still cycles through tabs and alt+tab cycles through windows
I've never used the numbered-tab shortcuts. Always ctrl-pgup/dn, or at one point way back I had an extension that let me scroll the mouse wheel while hovering over the tab bar to flip through tabs.
>there's <literally any difference between os's>!
>that means <the one i'm not used to> is bad!
it's all so tiresome
at least now i know why alt+1 doesn't work in windows
This will always be the case with this board.
People here will even complain about distros setting the default session to be GNOME or KDE in Wayland mode, even though it takes two clicks on the login screen to switch to Xorg.
It's not that they hate configuring. The configuration doesn't even have to be hard. They just want to complain, and are endlessly frustrated that the world is moving on without asking them their opinion.
only the technologically illiterate even care about defaults
alt + numpad#
ie alt + 2 goes to tab 2 (far left is 1)
>gtard can't adapt and learn
Color me surprised

>Using Firefox
>Blaming Linux
normal people use ctrl tab and ctrl shift tab
>use vivaldi
>flick mouse
>done
it's so comfy
>who uses alt fo-
I do
Now shut up and complain silently inside your head.
>'ctrl+#'
works on my arch retard
>comes from a half-broken system where alt key doesn't work
>mad at the good system working properly
stay mad and stay on windows, you don't belong
my guess is it's because ctrl+whatever is interpreted by terminals, which is a first class application in linux, which is why all terminal emulators use alt+number for switching tabs
>THIS is why people won't switch to Linux,
Normal people rarely use keyboard to navigate, it's almost always mouse kek.
>uses firefox
>complains about bloat
