multiple monitors with different refresh rates and resolution. Xorg has poor support for per monitor scaling and different refresh rates

        >nvidia
No distro can fix Nvidia’s shit drivers. Just go AMD. I switched a year ago and it’s night and day, AMD plays so much better on Linux

Oil and water, also to answer other points.
I would say pop OS, I recommend you wait on the new cosmic DE.

        >Nvidia driver
        >good wayland support
        Pick 1

        To ad more contexts.
The one on top is AMD.

        >multiple monitors with different refresh rates and resolution
        works on my machine
        3840x2160 60Hz + 1920x1080 75Hz (no scaling for either)

I have a 4k 60hz and 1080p 144hz, need 200% om 4k and 100% for 1080p but am unable to do that. And 144hz is stuck at 60hz for a lot of animations and games

all I do on the 4k is games and videos so I didn't bother scaling it, even when I was still on W10
so I can't say for scaling, but refresh rate works fine for me at least

Wait for the next release of Linux Mint, it already has everything you said sans wayland. They promised it for the next release
