This goes for the prep LARPing gays here as well but for some reason u gays act as if that isn’t playing pretend as well

The prep general got mad af when I said you shouldn’t dress preppy unless you’re genuinely upper middle class/upper class WASP with an appropriate background and people were like “m-muh aesthetic”

I can smell u poorfags from miles away the same way u can tell when someone is wearing workwear for the aesthetic

This. I dont think Ive ever seen someone wearing dickies or carhartt on site in my 15 years of working construction.
Well, on a select few occasions I’ve seen engineers wearing carhartt jackets. But they never leave their little shack.

Maybe it depends on what you do. Im a mechanic in the merchant marines and lots of guys wear dickies and carhartts and redwings, stuff like that. But yeah you see a lot of nonbrand/ whatever shit too, like i wear carhart pants but just whatever the heck cotton t shirt i have. Pants and boot quality is important, everything else, whatever.

Correct, I am a skilled tradesmen and I just wear my jeans, Wolverine steel toes and any random band tee to work. I am also the OP. The fact that people don’t even know what the heck tradesmen do but try to LARP as one is hilarious because you can immediately spot an annoying little pseud

Tradies tend to be very hidebound in their clothing preferences. The only things cheap jeans have going for them as workwear are low cost and relative durability. They aren’t very comfortable, and as I have observed, discomfort equals fatigue equals inefficiency on the job. Wearing good, comfortable pants on the job is almost as important as wearing good boots.

All I see are a couple of comfy looking jackets and pants. I don’t care who they make me look like. I’ll wear whatever I think looks good and is comfortable to me.

Sure and that’s fine but look at how it’s being marketed. A hecking Harley Davidson ring. This is very clearly just a costume for people, if you’re just wearing it for comfort and practicality that’s another thing entirely

    >bad to impersonate poor people
Yes. Poor people have soul, and its bad to pretend like you have soul when you’re a yuppie.
    >its bad to impersonate the rich
heck the rich. You deserve to have your aesthetics coopted and stolen so you have an excuse to spend your money on new yuppie shit.

I was a carpenter for the best part of a decade, I wouldn’t wear actual workwear anymore but I do still wear jeans, boots and coats. Nice ones though
