I think the number of people who staked is tiny and they're so comfy already. Add to that the fact that v0.2 has a variable reward rate based on the amount of people staking.
My guess is they're hush-hush for this reason.

probably taxed as short term cap gain if the greedy gensler gets his way, although I believe there was an XTZ lawsuit that fought for (and won) long-term cap gains on staking rewards. I'd have to re-look at it.
I assumed it would be treated like stock dividends, which you'd then pay cap gains on any appreciation from the day you received them.
Because I'm migrating all of my rewards, I'm not reporting any of it on my taxes yet since I still haven't received them. If/when I eventually unstake, at that point I'll report it. That's my plan, at least. Any other ideas?
I will probably just report when I sell staking gains, with a cost basis of $0. They're getting their money either fucking way, so I doubt they will bust your balls
You’ll most likely have to report it as income at the time it was received, and when you sell the delta between the price when received vs when you sold is what you report for cap gains, if i recall correctly
The rewards are pooled in the contract, not automatically sent out to your wallet, so it's not a taxable event until a staker actually claims the rewards and it touches his wallet.

How long will general access last? 0.1 staking general access lasted 3 hours.
It's impossible to say, but I'm waking up at 4am to do it the moment the pool opens - just like last time. It's not worth the risk.

Linkpool will probs fill over 1 Million as soon as it opens. But i suspect many whales will just multi wallet it instead of using their service. Understandable as stlink is a taxable event.
Still last time was 3 hours I suspect this time will be less. As there is now migration and early access before general. And those who didn't stake last time will use early access.

I think the majority from v0.1 will have staked their entire stacks over multiple 7k wallets and won't have accrued very much in the ensuing 12 months, since prices are way higher than the old days when they bought large amounts for cheap. Sure they'll have bought more, but no way will have doubled their stacks.
