Just copped this breton shirt, rec me some ways to style it/post inspo. I’ve got some light grey linen pants that will probably look nice, I’ve got some beige/ecru ones too but that might not be enough contrast. What kinda shoes? Loafers?

Can wear with olive pants, brown shoes or white shoes

Can wear with dark blue or black jeans, sand/tan jacket over is optional

Those are some of the ways I style a thin sweater I have with the same pattern

no one wants to look like this cuck

That’s not a Breton shirt Anon.

Idk that’s what the brand (nudie) called it. If you say it’s not a breton shirt unless it’s made in France or something I will come to your house and fight you

NTA but a quick google search shows that the originak breton shirts date from the mid 19th century and had 21 stripes, one for each Napoleon victory. They were worn by sailors because it made them easier to spot if they fell overboard. Later, Coco Chanel used the design in some of her stuff.

I guess that, by extension, you coukd say that any white and blue -or white and any other color- striped shirt could be called a breton shirt as it usually happens in fashion. But if you wanna be a puris, a breton shirt has exactly 21 blue stripes over a white base.
