Yes, that's likely.
Approximately every 10 minutes a block is mined. The miner that did this gets a block reward in BTC. Every ~4 years the amount received is halved. Right now it's 6.25, next year around this time it'll drop to 3.125. 4 years after that, it'll be halved again.
