Yes, but clearing cookies as original anon said his screenshot was from doesn't do any more than incognito. In fact it removes less. So, again, we're just seeing stuff based on what he watches. Mine was a mix of a few poor suggestions based on the tech stuff I watch, some "relaxing music" ones based on another computer at my public IP that we often play such videos on to calm the puppy for naptime, and some random shit thrown in because no account is logged in. Note that the puppy music suggestions come through anyway even though the computer that plays those runs Firefox on the newest Windows 10 while I'm running Ungoogled Chromium on an old-ish Windows 10 build that works with the version of VMware I need for work. Both are Windows 10 and have 1080p monitors I suppose, but apart from that and the same IP their fingerprint stuff should be very different.

I run ephemeral profiles on chrome, this is always how it looks before I log in, it's a sort of litmus for what is both popular and frequented. It's entirely demoralizing how brain dead all that shit is. I also get a lot of "She did not date the poor driver until he took her to his house and she realized he was a billionaire looking for a wife" n-word shit

Same IP? You still got some stuff based on just being at the same IP.

My car is from that unfortunate era after touchscreens became good and cheap, but before people demanded the return of some physical switches. https is fine too as a base protocol. it's certificate authorities that are a fucking scam- by their power, self-signed certs are a browser-reported crime-in-progress when they should be completely permitted, maybe just denoted with a different color lock symbol or something. letsencrypt has been making strides here fortunately since despite the root CA corruption, there is inherent obvious technical value in a trusted central authority whose root certs are pre-distributed, but the homosexuals who tried to lock it down and charge $400/yr for certs before LE came along need to fucking go for good.
as for http and surveillance concerns.. going to someone's personal hobby cookbook website and printing out a new scone recipe needs absolutely no encryption and you're a paranoid schizophrenic if you say otherwise.

I hate how quickly people intentionally abandon better technology for something that actively limits their control over their device.

I've had to reject nearly half the applicants for an undergrad position at my lab because they know literally nothing about computers. They don't know basic file management, can't troubleshoot any aspect of the process, have no clue when it comes to networking and, worst of all, can't navigate menus unless they're big off-white or pastel coloured fucking bubbles. I know these kids were raised on iPads, but it's obvious universities are no longer teaching, or even grading, their ability to use technology they'll need in industry or academia.

One of these kids navigating a Windows XP explorer menu is like a mentally retarded kid with a book; just vacantly staring without an ounce of comprehension as they randomly manipulate it, so totally perplexed by its function and form.

An exact example: Change one setting for a centrifuge connected to a PC. It's a simple program with fillable fields, you just need to be able to set its connection and save the settings to a file.

Nearly half simply couldn't do it. Literally could not figure out how to change their view to see file details or even knew they had to save. About half of those that could, couldn't organise the files or select the correct centrifuge without prompting.

            >How was he supposed to know how to do that if you haven't taught them?
            >How were they supposed to know
see, here's the problem with people like you. none of these tasks are complex tasks that require training. they require extremely rudimentary observation, consideration, and problem-solving skills.
you were given a very basic goal with clear objectives.
if anything, the presence of people like you make me happy that i'll never be out of a job: i'll always have to build systems that cater to the lowest common denominator that is "muh brain use = hurts" folks like you.
this is what you sound like:
            >how am i supposed to know what direction my front door opens in?
            >how am i expected to know what the beeps from my microwave mean? how do you expect me to enter a cook time without training?
            >how am i supposed to know how often i should clean my bathroom if someone hasn't instructed me?
            >why should i be expected to wash my sheets? nobody told me how to do this

not him, but yeah, normalfags should be a lot more inquisitive. in my experience they're unreasonably afraid of fucking things up, so wont touch anything unless someone's holding their hand.
              >why should i be expected to wash my sheets? nobody told me how to do this
you're hitting a little bit close to home pal. some of us were raised by workaholic retards who never taught us anything. i myself can barely cook or clean

                >some of us were raised by workaholic retards who never taught us anything. i myself can barely cook or clean
this was totally my childhood - single parent workaholic, around for maybe an hour every day.
it's not a big logical leap to go from "sheets make me itch" to "oh i should wash them like my clothes."
nor is "countertop smells funny and has stuff on it" to "this bottle says 'countertop cleaner', 'spray, let sit, wipe away'.. ok"
and that's not even using the internet to supplement information
but folks like the other anon would be all
                >durr why did dey design sheets to get dirty lmao noone trained me on this!!
                >haha my landlord didn't train me on countertop cleaning i hate how countertops are always sticky and smelly bro

Perhaps your undergrads are engaging in the observation, consideration, and problem-solving while fucking your shit up because they haven't had the opportunity to fuck that shit up elsewhere.

Bro, you wish it was hyperbole, in reality they're much worse. My friend runs a machining class and they can't even read a ruler. They'll mindlessly run tools into vices and break the shit out of them. They'll drill through the fucking vice. They barely have a grasp on basic math. The bar has been set so low, the intro quiz is literally on fractions.

Also whenever anything blows up in their faces from ramming a tool a tool into a lathe or some shit, they just stand their with a dumbfounded blank expression. No change in emotions whatsoever. Like they don't even realize the danger they're in. Absolute madness.

I don't know! But all the mill's vices are speckled with little 1/8th inch holes. That shit's nowhere even close to the work piece.

      >I know these kids were raised on iPads, but it's obvious universities are no longer teaching, or even grading, their ability to use technology they'll need in industry or academia.

Fire sale, colleges know the scam is up and are letting anybody and anybody through, no more ACT and SAT needed? So they can scam more kids into taking massive debt. The colleges know it, and so do most people. I have young adult cousins and for the first time in my life im hearing about kids choosing not to go to uni for trades or other things.

My nephew has been using a small samsung kids tablet for simple kid games, would it still be worth it to gift him a 3ds or 2ds for his birthday? or do kids these days really not use any devices with buttons?

ye they're still fun to play with, modding them for piracy is super simple as well, but i would suggest you avoid the new 2ds xl because it's pretty fragile
