Probably the biggest clusterfuck in wrestling
>Than it quickly went to shit as they didnt get any of the real WCW stars and was mostly the B and C team.
That wasn't the problem really. They had enough people they could have made stars and used to start the feud and make money whilst the big players' contracts expired (they had Booker T, DDP and Mike Awesome ffs). Also, remember that Invasion made a shit tonne of dimes which had none of the real stars you write of. However, they didn't want to do that - because of some pathetic 'we're the real stars in the fake fighting feds' outlook - and the potential angle died.
Mike Awesome wasnt a A list star and neither was Booker at that point yet.
If they had Sting, Goldberg, Flair, Hall, Nash, Hogan, Luger, Savage, Scott Stiener and such
They would have had a team
I know the contract situation prevented that but then you fuckin wait till you can at least get some of those guys

Yeah. From 2012 to 2016 till they got AJ it was shit. Then they about two years of good TV. Then it all went to shit. Worst wwe ever. When roman came back as heel it got better.

I still can't belive that only star in aew that has put mjf over was cody. After getting beaten like drumstick. Dude is still biggest star they have.
I'm starting to feel like cody wasn't proplem in aew.
It's gay but just average Young Cuck shit at the start.
From the moment they do the missed dropkick spots twice in a row, before anyone else even comes into the ring, it's indefensible.
I'm fairly chilled about flippy shit but, come on, this is awful. No intensity, 'we've all got to get our shit in' nonsense and it's also soooo slow it draws even more attention to how choreographed it is.
It really is. It's a de-evolution from the stuff Dynamite Kid and Sayama did literally 10+ years before and genuinely believes 'less isn't more, more is more' when the only person ever to pull that thinking off is James Cameron.
I've seen since back in the /asp/ days anons swear on their mom and kids that old joshi stuff was the actual peak of wrestling kino, but where do I even begin with it?, I was told to search for Akira Okuto and Bull Nakano but I don't even know where to begin with that, like what events?, matches?, any actual starting point?
If you want a show, watch the final two discs of AJW Big Egg 1994 and the final disc of Destiny 1995.
If you just want to dive in headfirst with no direction, watch AJW classics:
https://archive.org/details/AJWClassics
If you have no idea where to go, watch the two discs of Big Egg, pick a favorite from there and start watching their major matches/feuds.
>but where do I even begin with it?
Big Egg tournament in 94 is a GOAT for sure.
I generally point to Dream Slam 1 as the great starting point. Features a lot of the big stars of the time with a good selection of cross-promotional matches to give you a view of the whole scene.
Dream Slam is shorter than Big Egg too.
Disc 1 is just the pre-show press conference.'
DS1 and BE should get you going. Like the other anon said, after that intro you can pick your fav performers from the time and go from there.
The "Destiny Climax" main event between Akira Hokuto vs Manami Toyota at AJW Destiny '95 is a personal fav of a lot of people too.

With Dream Slam, like mentioned you acn skip the first disc entirely as its jsut the pre-show press conference. The 2nd disc is I guess you could call the midcard stuff so if you start watching and don't see anything crazy there, don't be shocked.
Disc 3 of that show though, they REALLY loaded with the top talent from across promotions at the time. Hope ya enjoy it.
